Day 19

Black Bear Diner by the mountain for Christmas Eve dinner.  I had the turkey dinner I had not had for T'Day this year.  Very diner-esque in home cooking.  Other pic from our wandering in McCloud CA where I did not agree to go to upper falls, but did hike into lower falls.  It was funny about the who we saw on our wandering on Tuesday - people of faiths that did not include gathering on Christmas Eve.  Had an "interesting" situation.  Son hopped out of the car to get a "great shot" of Mt Shasta and left the Jeep in gear and it started rolling down the hill...with me in it.  In the PTL category, son saw it rolling and ran back and stopped it.  My big thought was put my leg out to stop it...could have been very bad.  Man, I can't wait until next Wednesday when I will winging my way home.  My ideal month with son would have been in my hometown, re-setting up my apartment after my mega sifting and sorting and release of so much stuff.  Oh well.  I will review this on my return and look for lessons learned.  Today off to Redding.  Snow moving into Mt Shasta and I want to be close to the airport for tomorrow a.m. flight to LAX. Then Joshua Tree.  Do have an ETA for home - Jan 1.  Am going to reach out about the dishwasher job at the new local restaurant while on this leg of trip.  Idle hands are a devil's workshop.  Want to keep busy for a bit and makes some money to try and do some recovery from this trip.  Mentally, emotionally, and financially.  

If you have something to say that is unlikely to go down well with loved ones you are advised to put your words on hold and bring them up another time. Try to make this a day for bringing people together rather than driving them even further apart.

If the time doesn't feel right to engage in deep conversation, don't push it. Concentrate on the things that you need to get done personally and professionally.

Off in a bit to the hotel close to airport.  Fly out tomorrow.  Next to last flight.  I will be so grateful to be home but know the work ahead for 2025.  Have a good Wednesday wherever your faith or beliefs take you on this day.
