Yesterday lots of blog work, set up an appt to talk to a Doula in DC to ask her some questions about sister #1's friend and what she is up against. I DROVE to Shoprite when I saw the egg digital coupon and to follow up on the Club Size can of coffee sale. I called to see if the coffee that was not there on Tuesday was there yesterday AND the person on the phone said yes. So because of the egg addition to my shopping I thought it was worth the drive. I got there and what the kid had put at the service desk for me...Club Size coffee sale item BUT kuerig cups. Useless to me. Oh well. I got a raincheck for 4 time use for the coffee so I guess it works even better since I will be able to use it on 4 Tuesdays between now and expiration of the raincheck June 2. And I got a dozen eggs for $2.99. I will chalk that up to "a win". Went for walk post Shoprite. Heard from son. Action in the stock market meant lots of attention on his part to keep moving forward with $. He did put one of his lots - the one that is not contiguous to the lot his house is on - on the market. Fingers crossed that people will see buying land as a security blanket in this wild ride. He is headed home from Mexico on Tuesday. Asked his tenant to move out of his upstairs unit. She has not been paying the full rent for the last 3 months...he has now decided that empty is better for a bit rather than her. Last night author event at our local library. Very good presentation. She grew up in town so her Kindergarten and 1st grade teachers were in the audience. :) I am looking forward to reading her latest book. Started The Humans by Haig this a.m. He got me in the preface. Talking about "The Humans" - "Their conversation topics are very rarely the things they want to be talking about..." "...have discovered human poetry...the very best one (her name is Emily Dickinson), said this "I dwell in the possibility". "I plead with you to read this book with an open mind, and to work out for yourself the true value of human life." "Let there be peace." Haig released this book in 2013. What is old is new again, again. :)
To today - Quiche breakfast!, blog outreach work, walk, 1 p.m. talk with DC Doula. Will see where I go from there. Waiting to see if something I wrote gets into the blog pipeline.
