Almost let myself get distracted by shining objects this a.m.

And it is only 2:10 a.m.  I woke up in the 1 a.m. hour with a "hair on fire" thought that I did want to write back to PHD Dr Social Work Professor while she is attending the GSA conference to give her a bit of a case study to have in her head as she wandered the conference with people who are in a thinking mode.  THEN I open my email and see that a mention of person who will be speaking to a group I am in who I had just written down his name as a "note to self" and am kicking myself for my lack of focus and detail as to where I heard his name mention and what hit me about the mention...Will try to flesh that out before I get back to the group facilitator about his upcoming visit to the group.  AND there is a new GeriPal episode AND there are Thursday shows to watch, AND my son let me know yesterday that he will be off to Mexico City on Dec 23 and back at end of March, just in time for the ceramics event that one of his friends will be integral with - https://nceca.net/.

I will need to calm mind, body and spirit as I chart my a.m.  AND it is pancake morning.  :)

Yesterday I did not stay for the Author event by EKR Foundation.  The Author brought a couple of contributors with her - her daughter AND the doula I had a bad experience with in 2024...I went off camera but I could not focus with her face on the screen.  Oh well.  And I did not stay to the end of the library program with the author of Berry Pickers - author was a bit distracting with her nervous laughter, along with her animals.  Will hope for a more positive experience in today's Mettle Health - Join Mettle Health counselors Heather Isaacs and Bridget Sumser for a discussion on reconciliation and forgiveness, as relates to end of life. We are human, and as such, we will have hard moments with other humans in our lives. Sometimes these are issues that can be discussed and resolved before the end of a life, and sometimes they are not. We’ll discuss both possibilities, along the idea of “closure” as relates to death and dying.  Goes along with my earlier thoughts about unfinished business and what to take to the grave.  Nothing on my paper calendar until Monday after today's program at 1 p.m.

Yesterday spoke to sister #1 about recount and her classmate who I ran into on Wed walk who if facing health challenges and son who called to check in and share his excitement about December trip to Mexico City.  TX/NM friend like the poem I wrote for her birthday.

What occurs today and over the weekend can be seen as either a challenge or an opportunity, or maybe both together. If you keep your eyes and ears open you will be one of the lucky few who can make events work to their advantage.

Negative self-talk could trip you up this morning, darling Libra, as the Virgo Moon squares Mercury Rx and Mars. Rather than fixating on challenges that linger on the horizon, reinforce your will by recognizing your own capabilities. Avoid over-planning while preparing for the day, as the stars may throw a few curveballs your way. Venus activates and offers celestial support, nudging you to move forward by placing one foot in front of the other, even if progress flows slowly. Moments of enlightenment help you strategize a new plan when Luna aspects the nodes of fate later tonight.

It may seem like everything is moving counter to your trajectory. While you want to move south, the wind blows west. This doesn't mean you should give up on your goal. This just means that you may need to tack in order to get where you're going. A sideways approach is just the thing needed in order to get to your paradise.

Do appreciate my cosmic guidance this a.m.  May need to tack.  Avoid over-planning.  Is what I am fighting with a challenge or an opportunity?  All good thoughts in my morning hair on fire wake up call.  My mind is an interesting place.  :)  Have a good Friday the 14th.
