New calm look from yesterday a.m.

Shared with my PD buddy yesterday a.m. that the sky was beautiful outside my back windows but he bested me outside his cruiser window as he sent this pic.  He was working 11 p.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday into Sunday.  Nice look to start the day.  Watched a Stern interview with Arnold S. - fun listen.  Great call from brother followed by sister #1 sibling call.  Brother is moving toward a Jan 1 retirement.  But it will be an active retirement for sure.  He was calling on his way to work yesterday - a Sunday...So the gradual reduction is not moving as quickly as possible.  Draught in his area of NC is necessitating some different landscaping maintenance methods for the facility he is responsible for.  He is on top of it as always.  Sister #1 is off to PA on Tuesday then Finger Lakes area of NY State.  

I did some thinking yesterday about son's visit.  Was sad to see the lady I went to for a palm reading years ago is going to be in Costa Rica on a retreat.  Also the lady who did my tarot card reading in 2024 is not longer advertising.  Will check in at Kismet when the open for the week on Wednesday if they have anything to offer in the "mystic" realm.  Want son and I to both finish visit feeling uplifted.  :)

Good session with SDHS re Switzerland Option.  Founder of Pegasos was the main speaker.  Very passionate and compassionate person.  150 people in the zoom audience.  

Today - walk, ALDI, do have one plastic bottle to drop at Shoprite not sure if that will be today, wash clothes, 2 p.m. Mettle Health open discussion about Friday's webinar, 4:30 a.m. PA DC.  Tomorrow PCV discussion, CA DC, Wednesday EOLD, Thursday FEN blog group meeting...curious as to what marching orders we get from Exec Dir, and pool opening that I will be "late" arriving to, Friday MASSAGE!, Saturday LA DC.  Wednesday son lands in NYC.  Thursday is the Knicks parade...he is landing at a busy time in NYC.  A week from Tuesday he will land here for a couple of days.  NC friends are closing on their new home today.  First move in 43 years!  But only closing today.  Not moving yet.  

Rain did not wake me up as weatherman had predicted.  College acquaintance did reach out to me and another classmate that she is in the area for her last summer.  She sold her CT shore cottage so will be Florida only going forward.  Will see if the three of us can find a time and place to get together.  Captain's Cove maybe?  Told her I would give it more thought after the son visit.  :)

Reading as my distraction of choice this past week :)

3 books for last week.  Started, read, finished.  Moved on to "The Librarians a novel by Sherry Thomas".  A good change from the non-fiction of late and a great move on from Theo of Golden...good concept, bad delivery.  I get kindness but the privilege and all the good endings...giving over receiving...hit a bad note for me.  Good library location, murder mystery is a good move.  

Yesterday read, walked to Shops and ALDI.  Can't wait to buy more peaches tomorrow.  Talked to sister #6.  She is working two jobs as teaching job winds down...but not soon enough, and her summer job heats up.  And why she called was she thought of me at a Zoning Bd of Appeals meeting in her town about moving the homeless shelter.  Homeless population is big and not a "good look" for a town whose livelihood is focused on summer tourism.  Proposed location would be close to sister and troubling as she does a lot of walking around town - even in the evenings after her summer job and if people come to the shelter drunk or on drugs they get turned away and they start walking around town too...  We will see how it develops.  Meeting was rescheduled to July.  Post my walk, swung by swimming lady's house to see if she had recovered from her latest trip.  Cars and trains and heat...at 86 years old. 3rd trip in the last 30 days.  I am amazed by her endurance.  

Today for me - walk to Unionville, SDHS zoom at 4 p.m.  Weather change yesterday will continue so MUCH more comfortable for walking.  Will hope that the HHH does not reappear next week when son is in town.  No AC and one table top fan...oh well.  Residence Inn in the town over can be an option if it gets too bad.

Reaching for calm this a.m.  Not sure how much I slept last night.  1:51 a.m. as we speak.  Sad to see that Paraguay lost.  That will be my last WC monitoring I will be doing.  Pretty toasty in the apt last night but this morning feels much better.  Will hope that it is not HHH for nights son is here later this month.  

Yesterday - Dropped books off at library, up to chapter 34 in Theo of Golden.  Walked.  Watched the pitch All-In episode - MGM, TLN, AKTS, Geodnet/token.  Listened to Mettle Health Dementia Deck discussion.  Feels foreign to me that everyone would not have shared their wishes with others as to what they would want to see happen if a dementia diagnosis would occur. Text back and forth with son re WC.  Paid electric bill - $81.44.  Better but not good.  

Today nothing on my paper calendar.  Walk to Shops.  Finish Theo.  No other plans.  Not sure if my cosmic guidance for today will be up yet.  :)

And my ears.  :)  No medical intervention, ear cleared with home remedy and time  :) ...and I think the heat of my walk helped meltdown everything in my body.  :)  ALDI peaches, strawberries, blueberries, bag-o-salad were positive players in day's meal #2.  Call from son.  He was at Tigers game with father the Wednesday night, watching CDMX World Cup game yesterday on TV reminiscing about what they tried to put together over his recent time.  Week in NYC and CT coming up starting on Wednesday.  I finished The Brothers McKay.  :)  Will walk back AWAKE and Brothers to library on the front end of my walk today.  Watched most but not all of Compassionate Ottawa program re Palliative care...too frustrating listening to Canadian approaches to medical care in general and EOL specifically.  Family friend dropped off Theo of Golden on Wednesday.  Started that this a.m.  

Big soccer game tonight - Paraguay and USA.  Espero que Paraguay gane.  :)  So today walk, Mettle - The Dementia Deck talk.

One ear is acting up this a.m., last couple of days really  :)  Wax.  Such an old people thing for me. Will hope it "pops" today.  Won't do anything medical.  But it is annoying.  

Other than that - yesterday - walk with friend, EOLD, cleaned apt, Lansing, family friend swung by and dropped off a book she just read that she thought I might like.  Theo of Golden.  I had read something that kept me from putting it on my read list, but since it landed in my lap, post The McKay Brothers, I will give it a whirl.  Today - 10 a.m. "to" Ottawa. Conversations with Leaders - Understanding Palliative Care.  Will see if there is any new news from our neighbors to the north. 

So today Ottawa, walk.  Tomorrow Mettle. Sunday - Hemlock session re Switzerland or in mind "death by privilege".  Oh well.

5:24 a.m. already...another "late" start :)

This is a notification from another year but I could have been distracted by the shiny object this a.m. of reading The Brothers McKay by Craig Johnson.  Finished AWAKE yesterday.  Should have put it down earlier.  Divorce by privilege book.  So easy to recover from divorce when money and access to $125/hour therapy is readily available...And you find your next "person" in a matter of months and not years and you are a NYT book list author...oh well, but I read it to the end.  BUT the good news is I put my library card in my pocket when I went for my walk yesterday and found Craig Johnson's latest book (that my NC friends went to the book signing at one of my former workplaces a couple of weeks ago) so all is well in my reading world.  Started it this a.m. and could have easily have stayed in bed longer reading it, but have my family friend walk today so I am on a schedule. :) 

Almost also got distracted by LinkedIn again with a Hospice News article.  Another money corrupts article about government and hospice payments and what is playing to the lowest denominator of hospice providers and what is best for the person dying and the families?  But I commented and let it go...for now.  I was reviewing a possible blog article yesterday and the writer's comments hit me -  "No one called it death literacy. We simply called it taking care of our people."  - and -  "Community care reminds us that none of us were meant to carry life's challenges alone."  Life does not have to be as complicated as I make it?  :)

So yesterday walk, library, CA DC, SD DC.  Both good in different ways.  Today - paid COMCAST painfully.  Wish I was not such a wimp as to making the changes I need to make but that pertains to so many things that I get stymied.  So when the going gets tough, I read Craig Johnson.  :)  Walk at 9 a.m.  EOLD at noon.  Lansing at 7 p.m.  Did run the dishwasher yesterday.  Will see if apt cleaning is today or tomorrow.

Well I was distracted by shiny objects this a.m.... :)

I have one social media vice and that is linked in.  This a.m. I was drawn in big time.  Hospital missteps, UNC CH position I wish had been posted when I landed in that town in 1995...and what about a psilocybin clinic in every state to let people over 72 see if that is a therapy for what - whatever - ails them?  And the idea about being more connected than every before and more out of touch on a meaningful level at the same time.  Phew...looking forward to losing myself in my word work this a.m.  :)

Yesterday - dealt with a RMD, walked, ALDI, walked by to check and see if swimming lady's car was back in her driveway indicating she had made it to and from her grandson's graduation in Maryland.  I am amazed at what she finds the will and energy to do at 86 that I find out of my range of motion a decade younger.  Oh well.  ALDI trip was a $25.35 day.  Still feel that even without all the "savings" at Shoprite I am landing on the right side of what I am spending.  AND I am praying that the peaches I purchased land on the right side of ripeness for me...always a crap shoot especially when the memory of North/South Carolina peaches set the bar very high.  :/  AND I did wash clothes.  Made it without getting off my pod use schedule even with the load of wash I did for sister #1.  

Might finish Awake today...so not me, but still challenges my thinking.  Divorce and re-entry with means.  Using a month in Bar Harbor ME as a re-entry activity with first post divorce date within I think 13 months.  I have yet to experience that...husband left 30 years ago as of 11/16/2026.  No Bar Harbor date situation as yet.  Awake and I were the same divorced age...similarities ended there.  But some of her lessons learned were good (hard) for me to hear.  

Today - get back on schedule :)  5:43 am already.  Run dishwasher. Walk. In response to swimming lady confirming that she did get home safe and sound's question about when the pool opened.  Looks like June 18 for opening day.  Bad news is I have a zoom at 2 p.m. that day.  Oh well.  Good for me to flex a bit.  (Gritting my teeth as I say that)  :)  I dug my bathing suit out of the closet this weekend...  :/  It is what it is as to pool fashion for me.  Pool season is a whole new world for me.  Lots of decisions about car versus walk each day.  When you only get in the car once a week to go to the grocery story, getting in the car everyday to go to the pool when it is walkable - but makes for a sweaty return to the apt... - is a lot.  :)

Didn't have to wait long to see in the video who won the game!  UNC off to Omaha.  Glad my NC friends keep me in the loop for sports news.  :)

Yesterday was interesting in where my mind went.  Walked to Unionville.  Sibling call from sister #1.  Not heading this way call from sister #4 who went to our cousin's ordination at her church.  Asked permission to gather at #4's house when son is here at end of month.  Alameda DC made me grateful that my range of motion - physically and mentally is what it is.  Finally finished one book about the Schuyler sisters in the Hamilton/Monroe/Jefferson era of our country. Hamilton was an interesting man wasn't he... Again another one where if you changed the names it could be today as to what can go wrong in government and what men's personalities bring to the action of the day.  Women, money, war...  Last night started Awake: A Memoir.  About half through as of this moment.  DEFINITELY a departure from what I have been reading, but it hooked me.  I have one more book on my bedside table and then I will hope that my local library has finished its migration to the new computer system.  Fingers crossed.  

Today - wash clothes!  Walk, ALDI.  Held off a week on clothes because I used last week's pod on a load of wash for sister #1 when she was here.  Another BOF meeting tonight.  Budget failed again, so new cuts and new referendum date has to be set...I will stay in my "head-in-the-sand" new preferred position.  This week - ALDI, CA DC tomorrow, Wed EOLD and Lansing, Thursday - Conversations with Leaders - Understanding Palliative Care from Ottawa, Friday - Mettle/The Dementia Deck.

A day that turned into a people day :)

Not sure where I saw this yesterday but it hit me.  Stories I tell myself - "choose carefully" and "distraction or traction".  Especially this month of all who have and will be popping in and out.  

But as to yesterday listened to All-In.  Two DCs - Lansing and then Ann Arbor.  Had not been to Ann Arbor since 2024 and was very happy I was drawn there for whatever reason.  "The Gate" came into play again.  Then walked to W&T book club and walked home.  Wild weather held off until 7 p.m. ish.  Just in time to shut down Music on Main.  I would not have wanted to be watching them breaking down equipment during what popped up very quickly.  

Talked to sister #6 as she walked home from her summer job.  She is working both her jobs until June 24...  And I am now hoping that sister #4 decides to go home instead of heading my way for a late lunch...I have 4:30 p.m. Alameda DC...I had forgotten about when we were talking.  Will see.  Heard from Paraguay friend.  Can't make it up that first US World Cup match up is against Paraguay.  :)  UNC baseball in a deciding game for the NCAA Super Regional.  Lots to watch develop.  

Will see where sister #1 is when she makes her sibling calls this a.m.  Today walk to Unionville and will hope that I get to Alameda DC.  Fingers crossed.

Restless night...

Tossed and turned last night.  Thinking about son's visit that is now on my paper calendar for arrival Tuesday Jun 23 and leaves Friday Jun 26.  Sister #4's for a rendezvous point perhaps for sister #6 and niece #4.  Will see what comes together as the month progresses.

Yesterday walk to Shoppes (which the Shoppes has now renamed Shops...) Left the apt at 8:49 a.m., back at 11:30-ish a.m.  Did a bit of a walk thru at ALDI to keep acquainting me with layout and random locations of stuff I buy.  Discovered a cupcake shop that recently opened along my walk route.  $4 a cupcake?...Yikes.  Watched fun episode of Daytripper about Giddings TX.  TX is such a state on so many levels.  

Today - Lansing DC, walk to W&T Book Club.  Tomorrow Alameda DC.  Looking forward to all conversations.  Watching All-In as we speak.

Lots of time outside yesterday :)

Different outfit and different huggers, but I was at the Torch Run yesterday.  Left the apt at 11 a.m. and got back at 3-ish p.m.  Lots of wandering and chatting along the way.  Before leaving lots of writing and thinking.  Blog work got a bit confused with a "who does what and why" situation.  We have a meeting on June 18 so we will iron things out.  Son called.  "Turf management" on his lots...  :)  Took his dad out for lunch for his birthday on Wednesday.  

Had a text at 4:23 a.m. from TX/NM friend who is in Italy for most of June.  11:04 a.m. there right now.  Perfect time for reaching out to me.  :)  

Today - walk is the only plan.  Will see what fills in the day.

Wednesday post company week...

Trying to decide what to be inspired about.  Weather is wonderful.  Solitude is supportive.  Yesterday - worked on RMD.  Since hack I am limited on my range of motion on one of my accounts but that is fine with me that they are watching my every move.  Walked with friend.  EOLD.  Library consortium talk - "Your Ticket to the Best State Fair Crafts with Smithsonian Curator Mary Savig"  Will be telling my sister about this exhibit for her next round of company to go see at the Renwick Gallery.  Looks like it is Bass and Pratt for LA mayor in November.  I will hope LA sees the forest for the trees.  

Today - Special Olympics Torch Run through town.  I will be at "my station" where the PD guys look for me each year so walk later in the day today.  Chores - sans clothes washing - done for the week early.  No tasks until Monday.  :)  Saturday Lansing and W&T, Sunday Alameda DC and PD buddy's birthday.

SSS Day - Shoprite Senior Sendoff :)

Swung by Shoprite on my walk yesterday.  Wanted to check my savings at ALDI on the two items I forgot yesterday and was walking over to get today.  SO bananas - $.59 versus $.55 - check.  Then the bag-o-salad kits - WHAT!! - 3 for $6.... AND the last day ever for the Sr Disc at Shoprite and I went no further.  Spent $7.18/Saved $6.35.  Good sendoff from Shoprite and the SR Disc Tuesdays.  That brought my week spending up to $29.49...but 3 bag o salads will be dinners for a stretch.   Ran into a classmate at Shoprite (did not share my mission with her) :)  And ran into someone on the rails to trails so chatting with her distracted me from carrying my parcels.  Never did make it to ALDI.  

And the other "sendoff" item.  I reached out to my CH friend to see if they needed their house key back for the house they are selling after 43 years and after being my home away from home when I visited CH since 2006...got a bit teary about that.

Family friend's husband called me on my walk to shopping...was very disappointed when he saw I was not working at the polls.  He and I are both anxious for his wife/family friend to get back from her travels...Will see if we are walking this a.m. 

Off schedule apt cleaning.  On schedule run dishwasher.  Up way too early this a.m. so will see where the day goes today.  Family friend walk, EOLD are the only plan items.  Thursday Torch Run for Special Olympics.  Will meet up at the usual place with the police people running.   

Woke up to our town budget being voted down again.  Will see what the next steps are now.  Also can't tell about CA elections.  Pratt did not do as well as I had hoped.  Will see what the news has to say today.

Some hits and misses Monday... :)

First day all alone today BUT ran into a former school #1 co worker in the parking lot of ALDI. $22.31 but it will turn into $25 with the bag o salad and bananas.  Guess it can be a social location.  So yesterday - no clothes washing, walk, BOA (have to go to another town to find a branch of the bank...) to deposit cash from election and referendum work and cat tending check, ALDI, got home and realized I forgot to buy bananas and the bag-o-salad mix that was on sale!..., Son called, FEN DC, read.  Son shared about his epic weed whacking around his house and lots.  Love it when he sounds settled.  :)  Keeping my latest visit with sister #1 and Paraguay friend as to how to make his trip to CT entertaining for him.  Where we can go.  Not my strong suit but will give it a try.  

So today - walk to ALDI to get the two items. Wander a bit after.  VERY glad that I am not working the referendum.  I did not wake up naturally until 5:12 a.m.!  Paper calendar for the week - EOLD tomorrow and Lansing and W&T book club on Saturday.  Nada mas.  Not a problem.  

Sister #1's gentleman caller went through his procedure well.  All day affair, but back home at night.  I always think the system throws people out a bit prematurely, but I am not a supporter of all they do - especially for a 83 yr old.  4 procedures in about 6 weeks...

Week starting on a new note :)

Made it all the way to Unionville yesterday!  The only people time was getting the key back to cat owner and hearing about her trip to AZ...90 yr old brother in law, soon to be 90 year old sister and lots of fragility in spirit and body.  Cat owner/swimming lady said she had to smile when she was the brawn of the operation.  :)  Everything is relative.  

NC friends are in the midst of more sports after being literary on Saturday.  The Diamond Heels clinch their spot in the Super Regionals and look towards next weekend as they await their opponent from the Texas A&M regional. UNC will host the Super Regional at at Boshamer Stadium, with play beginning on Friday.  Lots on their life plate right now.  All good.

So I left for Unionville at 10 a.m. and got home from cat owner house at 2:30 p.m.  Planning for today - bank (big check :) for cat sitting not sure why she felt moved to pay me... and some cash from referendum work and election work which might as well go to the bank.  Will do a combo trip of bank and then ALDI.  If push ever came to shove I can walk to my bank, but it would be a haul.  Will postpone clothes washing as I used up my weekly TIDE pod on sister #1 and Paraguay friend load on Friday.  Not an issue.  FEN DC at 3 p.m.  So walk, bank, ALDI, FEN as today's line up.  Heard from sister #1 for sibling call yesterday and sister #6 on her walk to her part time summer job.  She will double dip on work until school lets out on June 24.  Did get stopped on the walk to Unionville by one of the boys who graduated from former school #1.  Always fun to have them recognize me (he shared he was 4 years out of college, so it had been a bit since he last saw me.  Those boys are so good for my spirits.  

There is a major problem that needs to be dealt with on the work front and Mercury’s change of signs today will help you focus on that to the exclusion of everything else. Colleagues will be in awe of your razor-sharp mind.

May 30 wrap up...alone to Unionville for me today :)

Breakfast at LaSalle with sister #1 and Paraguayan friend.  Then they hit the road at 7:45 a.m.  Arrived in VA at 2:14 p.m.  I "took off" for Shoppes for my walk.  Made text contact with cat owner to make sure she was making her way home as scheduled.  Heard from NC friends as they were at an author talk where I used to work.  Craig Johnson pic.  And my NC boss' daughter speaking.  I am so jealous.  New house and celebrity hobnobbing for my NC friends.  :)  Another full day.  Have to get my hands on the new Longmire book!  

Also reached out to two high school friends about our day at the beach with landlord/landlady.  One - sister of my landlord, the other - the wife of another of sister #1's classmate.  More pics received from landlord's sister.  NOW back to solitude until son gets here later this month.  :)  Had a bit of downtime when TV and internet went out due to gale force winds around here yesterday...Came back on at 4:30 p.m.  Whew.  

Today - walk to Unionville.  Will drop key off at cat house if owner reaches out.  I will wait until she is ready to debrief about her trip.  Did a load of wash for sister #1 on Friday so I will try and hold off on doing my load until this time next week...might make me be a bit more creative on outfits.  Nothing on my paper calendar until FEN DC at 3 p.m. Monday.  Did my monthly $ report for May yesterday.  Not too painful.

last people day :)

Sister #1 and her classmates on one side of the table, spouses, Paraguay friend and me on the other.  All worked well and I had incredible lunch - fried oysters special.  Best ever...outside of when I had them at Mama Dip's in NC.  And soft serve ice cream replaced my NC dessert of banana pudding.  But still outstanding food combination.  It is going to be a rough few days of adjustment going back to my non-company eating patterns.  Oh well.  :)

So yesterday - cat tending, did a load of wash for sister and friend (that uses up my tide pod for the week, so no wash for me on Monday), wandered the shops on Main St with #1 and friend, lunch, cat tending, longer walk with sister #1, call from sister #6 bemoaning that she had missed out on all the festivities this week, visited with sister #1 and friend for a bit, then called it a day.  Today - watch All-In, cat tending, breakfast at 7 a.m. at LaSalle and then company will take off, I will begin re-entry into my world.  :)  

And post company - LONG walk, last cat tending and make sure house is ready for swimming lady's return.  I am thinking she has had a long week.  Try to get back on track as to what day of the week it is.  :)  Prepare for son's visit in a 3 weeks.

More news from NC.  I love the look of my friends new place.  I know they are going to love it...once the move is over.  So happy that they found "the place".  I shared with the husband to "zoom me in Scotty" for a happy hour once they get settled.  :)  The balance of the day sister #1 and Paraguayan friend took me away to Willimantic.  Not as glorious as NC, but it was a fun afternoon.  So cat tending, "Willi" as the natives call it, cat tending, walk with sister #1, and nada mas!

at my apt, meet up with sister #1's classmates and spouses for lunch, cat tending, walk with sister #1.  Tomorrow a.m. breakfast at LaSalle and then company is off for home.  Cat owner is back home at end of Saturday.  PHEW.  I will have made it through this people and animal week.  THEN it is on to June.  I have a few weeks before son appears for a whirlwind visit.  

Received good feedback from FEN Exec Dir and one of the GA DC members about some of my writing.  Always feels good.  One quote might be in the next FEN magazine.

People day on steroids... :)

Chance meeting to say the least and huge news from NC.  I went way down memory lane yesterday and then got a big dose of future happenings via email this a.m.  8:30 a.m. "lift off" (the way sister #1 drives feels like a rocket launch...) and off to Old Lyme and incredible tour of Florence Griswold Museum and ran into part of the founding family of the beach we went to from 1956-1976.   https://www.hawksnestbeach.com/  And obviously we were just a nanosecond on their history.  Started going there post losing our house in the Flood of  '55 and I remember having a graduation from college party there in 1975.  And sister #1 took her daughter and some of the local cousins there in the early.mid '90's.  We were having a problem with the timeline yesterday.  Beach was picked because it was where they would rent to Irish back in the 50's.  Each beach had its ethnicity.  Glad we were Irish.  :)

So cat tending, "lift off", beach to see the old cottage, museum, Hallmark Drive-In for lunch, then to see my landlord/landlady at their beach house "across the river" from ours on Long Island Sound.  Then home in time for cat tending and then close out the day with GA DC.  

Then woke up to hear that NC friends are moving out of their home for 43 years...that home was the safe harbor for our family during Hurricane Fran and they have been my safe harbor ever since.  I am so glad that the puzzle pieces have all come together.  As I said it was a full dose of memory lane items over the last 24 hours.  

Today - cat tending, Willimantic with sister #1 and friend from Paraguay to visit friend's AFS family from when when she traveled from Paraguay to CT for her senior year in college.  So close, but she and sister #1 would meet in Paraguay in 1973.  I kept using the term "bien emocionante" yesterday.  Lots of emotions.  :)

You may find it hard to be the life and soul of the party, but that’s OK. No one expects you to be at your best every minute of the day, so don’t expect it of yourself. It’s OK to give the social whirl a miss for a bit.

People week underway... :)

Rooftop restaurant for linner yesterday.  Sister #1 and friend from Paraguay arrived for their 4 day visit.  We are off to the Long Island Sound today, Willimantic tomorrow, nowhere (PHEW!) on Friday.  They leave Saturday a.m. and cat owner comes back on Saturday so I will push the reset button on Saturday.  :)  Did get a great gift bag from Paraguay friend.  All things Paraguayo! 

So yesterday - ran dishwasher, cat tending, walk, CA DC, cat tending, linner, very short walk with sister (she had been in car all day).  Today - cat tending, getting picked up at 8:30 a.m., no EOLD for sure, will hope to be back in time for GA DC, but we will see, cat tending.  Will meet up with sister #4 for lunch today.  And with landlord and landlady at their beach house after lunch.  

You don’t have to do something just because others expect it of you, but you should certainly do it if it will be good for you personally. You may be a good guy by nature, but pleasing other people is not always the best way to show it.
