Can I say "it was an interesting day" again? :)

This roller coaster ride picture that a former school #1 made with me photoshopped in feels right for today. And a good reminder that her birthday is Friday so I made a note on my paper calendar so I remember to email her.  It has been that kind of month.  Lots of input from lots of angles and now we are passed the autumnal equinox and on to...we will see.

I should have taken notes yesterday.  :)  Ran dishwasher. But here is what I am piecing together.  Spent time in a.m. looking at the tire pumps.  Was ready to send my son a note to help his mother make an online purchase, but sister #4 called while I was walking and she placed the order and with her "purchasing power" she has a pump coming to me between 4-7 a.m. today so I will hope I am off to the races and will get it into my routine to check tires weekly to keep me on the move.  I will hope it is not too complicated.  I have my landlord in the loop now as to my "issue" so I will reach out to him if needed.  So back to the top of the day - watched some more of the All-In Summit videos, researched my pump, then with a 1 p.m. CA DC headed out for my walk which was to ALDI and back.  Decided I would finish up my weekly shopping on foot again so a $14.70/6 item ALDI day, so a $21.76 week.  I am rounding up and will owe sister #4 $100 for pump and the "block" thing I needed in order to charge it.  Sister #4 said most people have a drawer of them in their house...I have none.  Arms were getting a bit tired from carrying - peaches, grapes, bread, eggs, (family friend's chickens are transitioning to the cooler weather laying quantity), vanilla sandwich cookies but I made it.  CA DC.  Then went to walk around the block to wind down from my satchel walk and pump purchase.  Ran into landlord.  Landlady purchased a new all electric car so I reminded him about the free charging station in the town hall parking lot.  So he and I drove the block to plug in.  Much faster and more convenient than plugging it in to the back of his building.  AND landlady left quiche and cookies on my stoop yesterday for today!  I had texted her after seeing the new car - now she and landlord both have red cars - "feel like I am living at the firehouse".  :) Reading CIRCLE.  Death Sangha at 8 p.m. as a good place to spend the actual hour of the equinox.  Also had a fun back and forth with a DC participant in Australia in the early morning for me, meat of day for her.  She is moving into Spring as we are moving into Fall.  In the mail I got a coupon array for the month of October for Shoprite.  Will need to make sure my TX/NM friend knows about the ones for the week she and other family members are here in October.  $10 off/$50 - and their group will definitely have purchases over $50.00.  :)  I might try and figure out how to use the one for next week or the week after if I can find enough sales stuff to buy to get the $10 off/$50 or if I spend $15 - the free eggs the first week or the free lb of butter the next.  Did hear from former school #2 boss and she will meet me on Thursday for a walk and Shake Shack dinner!  As I shared with her - "Complete and total "Roger that"!    Somebody said their chocolate shakes are "too" chocolate-y.  I plan on debunking that myth!  And I have to smile as I was having hamburger, fries and shakes with my Bates' sister at GRAZE in Westerly Sept 10!  Theme of the month - Bates and burgers!  See you Thursday."   And not knowing that I was going to get the pump so quickly, I did set up our get together so I could walk to and from.  I think I will stay with that plan even if tires are full and reading to ride.  :)

Today - clean apt, walk with family friend sans daughter and grandson.  Daughter came to the end of her 3 month maternity leave.  EOLD at noon.  2 p.m. to swimming lady's for Shoprite coupon tutorial and take a look at what she came up with for her medical directives.  7 p.m. GA DC.  One of the members was scheduled for Switzerland last week.  We will see if update is shared.  Friday is Massage Friday!  We will see if rain disturbs my weekend walking.

Although the Sun is now moving through your sign you probably won’t notice much of a change to begin with. Come the weekend though the pace of life will pick up dramatically and you will enjoy the challenge of keeping up, so save your energy for then.

You'll awaken to a world you feel you can be your best self in, dearest Libra, thanks to a sweet aspect between the Aquarius Moon and Mercury. Emphasize the unique qualities you are most proud of, and compliments are sure to roll in. Now is also a good time to push the boundaries of what is considered normal, especially when working with creative outlets. Remember that innovation and fearlessness often coincide, but be mindful to keep one foot on the ground. Your heart receives a healthy dose of cosmic healing while Luna aligns with the nodes of fate and Chiron. Show yourself some love by infusing your bedtime routines with sweetness after the Moon enters Pisces tonight.

Have you been going crazy with all the demands placed on you? Don't despair. Reflect on all that's been going on. Think about where you want to make changes. Once you've come to a decision, don't hesitate to implement it. This is easier than waiting for one big opportunity and doing it all at once. That chance may never come. The step-by-step approach can bring satisfying results.

Cosmic healing step-by-step...keep the good thought that I learn how to use the tire pump and my tires PSI and my mind get to where they need to be.  Have a good Wednesday.

Well that was a start... :)

Good news, not-so-good news from yesterday BUT I did feel guided and led.  Lately I have been going to Shoprite/ALDI post walk, but yesterday was a full day online so I headed out early.  Pancake flat driver's side rear tire.  So with a day with 12 noon, 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. zoom getting this news earlier in the day than later - good news.  So I called AAA and the wait began. Did start the clothes washing machine. But as I reported out to PD buddy after AAA guy did his magic and I drove over to Zeller Tire - "Dry rot leak...no solution except keep adding air till it falls apart.  AAA guy was very kind, and Zeller guys were dead beat honest.  And told me to just stop in and they will fill.  :/"  So action AAA, Zeller, walked from Zeller to Shoprite where I got the bag-o-salad that was on sale-2 for $5.50 and my bananas just to get the "must haves" dealt with - $7.06/$2.48 day - and then walked back to Zeller to see what was up and got the dry rot news.  So then I emailed sister #4 to see what the brand is for the tire pump she uses when she tops me off when I am in Westerly.  No response yet, but I will hope to get my son involved in reaching out to Amazon to get it for me.  I am not an Amazon shopper and don't want to start.  Then got my car home. Landlord felt I was a bit dramatic as usual about how life was falling apart..."because of a flat tire?"...But moving to life without a car will be dramatic when it finally happens.  Walked to library to drop of Crying at H Mart and I picked up "A Fortune of Sand - SEPETYS.  And put a hold on my next Eggers - The Every.  The Circle has completely hooked me and I keep thinking about he was writing it in 2013...Prescient beyond belief.  So with my bananas and salad in hand, car in parking lot, I went into my ZOOMs.  All were just what I needed.  MEA, Mettle, and PA DC.  MEA in their signature super salesperson mode for their next offering outside of Santa Fe, NM and outside of my range of motion travel wise and money wise.  Oh well.  I am just glad they offer these free promotional sessions that I can go to.  I need a BREATHE session after my flat tire start to the day.  Mettle Health follow up conversation to Friday's webinar - wonderful.  PA DC kind and gentle people in the room as always.  There is something about my being in rooms with midwesterners or southerners that is just softer than the E/W coasts...  And I will ad a DC participant from Australia who I sent a video to and she came back with her update.  Kindness in living form.  The video was https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OcgnZ55sAAs&t=718s  The Weight of Regret:  Finding Peace in Life's Messiness.

My car's "hospice" status feels real-er now.  Zeller guy said he could put a new tire on but it would need rim too and..."not worth it" based on state of car.  Sort of like when the doctor says - "Nothing else we can do".  There goes my drama again.  :)

Today - another outreach to sister #4 about my pump.  Crickets from yesterday's outreach.  Run dishwasher.  CA DC at 1 p.m.  Death Sangha at 8 p.m.  What a perfect way to end the autumnal equinox.  On my clock I will be in the Sangha when it "officially" happens.  Walk will include a swing by ALDI.  Grapes, bread, eggs.  Had an outreach from former school #2 to get together on Thursday.  Walk/dinner.  I put it out there to meet at Shake Shack at our local Shoppes area and walk the rails-to-trails by there and then eat.  Will see if she bites.  That way I know I can get there regardless of state of car.  I can walk to Shoppes AND Thursday was the only day this week with nothing on my paper calendar so it feels like it was meant to be.  Will see if she bites or not.

The Sun joins Mercury in your sign today and almost immediately you will notice that your thoughts are clearer and your words are sharper. Anyone who thinks they can bamboozle you with facts and figures is going to learn you are nobody’s fool.

Romantic connections and creative projects may require some maintenance, darling Libra, as the Aquarius Moon and Saturn align. Be considerate of how improving boundaries or personal structures will bring more harmony to your life, strengthening the relationships and goals that matter most. If you've felt restricted by what's considered acceptable, now is a good time to bend any rules that have been holding you back. A burst of hope finds you once the Sun enters your sign this evening, setting you up for an auspicious astrological month. Reaffirm your desires and aspirations as the universe offers up extra support. Attention from peers could feel overwhelming when Luna opposes Jupiter tonight, though these vibes can be harnessed for self-promotion.

Inspiration for writing, music, drawing, painting, or other creative activities could hover just out of reach today, Libra. Great ideas could pop into your head and out just as quickly. The only way to avoid the frustration of missing out on wonderful ideas is to write them down as soon as they come. Making notes can also stimulate further inspiration. Go for it!

The beginning of the Sun in my sign and autumnal equinox.  This week had no way it was NOT going to be something.  Will see what that something becomes.  No bamboozle and lots of notes...onward and upward.  :)  Have a good Tuesday.

What is old is new again.

Finally reached back to find the interview that introduced me to Dave Eggers. (Kelly Corrigan).  Of course his flip phone is what hooked me.  :)  But of course he has "people" who fill the gaps he might have when it comes with living without a smart phone - is my thought.   https://www.pbs.org/video/dave-eggers-xfesuu/

Picture from that Chip Conley poem from his substack.  Keep coming back to that and Eggers and tech company.  I did have a question as I am reading CIRCLE...are there no chapters so you get that "can't stop and get my bearings" feeling?  Just my thought as I keep looking for a comfortable place to stop reading which chapters usually provide.  CIRCLE does not encourage comfortable stopping points.  :)  I can overthink anything.

Yesterday - soggy but not soaking walk to Unionville, sibling call while walking, read CIRCLE, "seasoned water" for washing clothes today.  Interesting segment on ICT news yesterday about the fact that the government is considering closing National Archives in Seattle, San Francisco and Chicago...more freedom of information/access questions.

Today - wash clothes, 12 noon MEA sales pitch, but I will go anyway - Live Event: Alchemy of Breath: Breathe Into Clarity, Courage, and Inner Guidance, 2 p.m. Mettle - Dive In and Digest: When Caregiving Comes to Work, 4:30 p.m. PA DC.  And fit in with that - Shoprite/ALDI - have to recheck what I need, walk, return Crying at H Mart...  But it is early so I think all will fit.  :)  Salad mix sale at Shoprite might be the clincher.

Venus, your ruler, makes a challenging link to Uranus this weekend, so you could be in a rebellious mood. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but try not to say or do anything that might upset people in positions of power, including your employer.

Moody companions could dampen your morning, dearest Libra, as the Capricorn Moon aligns with Mars, the Sun, and Chiron. Rather than catering to those who only wish to complain, keep a low profile and tend to your own needs. A lighter and more communal energy makes it safer to socialize once Luna enters Aquarius. Meanwhile, Mercury and Jupiter form an auspicious alignment, and spreading joy can elevate your reputation. Think outside the box when practicing self-care or planning a date night as the Moon aspects Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus throughout the evening. Slow down with a relaxing project while Venus stirs tonight.

Don't be surprised if money comes from an unlikely source. It could be a surprisingly good return on an investment or a bequest from a relative. Pay attention to any dreams that seem to repeat. They may hold a lesson about understanding your life path. You may receive an unexpected visit from a dear friend you haven't heard from in years. All in all, this is a great time.

I will be all in on "this is a great time".  Looking to the balance the universe will bring in to play for autumnal equinox tomorrow.  :)  Have a good Monday.

Very interesting day in a quiet way :)

Checked on the UNC-Clemson game at some point yesterday and it was in a weather delay. UNC up. Sister texted me at some point to say - UNC had lost...Yikes.  And NC State did something that had not happened in 1000+ games.  Duke won.  Wild day in the RTP.

But sports was not a big part of my day - I went on an extended walk enjoying the weather.  Came home to homemade soup on my stoop.  Perfect timing.  I was trying to decide about meal #2.  Finished Crying in H Mart.  Will return that tomorrow in advance of the Tuesday due date.  Started CIRCLE by Eggers.  Very interesting segue from - Careless People book, All-In interview with Dina Powell McCormick, and now CIRCLE.  AND CIRCLE was written in 2013...The Circle is a 2013 dystopian novel written by American author Dave Eggers. The novel chronicles tech worker Mae Holland as she joins a powerful Internet company. Her initially rewarding experience turns darker.

Big day in the flip mattress, move bed, flannel sheets.  Had planned to do it today but tomorrow it just called me.  So now I am set for the next quarter + a week as fall into winter.  Bed away from window walls, reading chair with lots of opp for light coming in as it gets colder.

Set a 2 p.m. time on Wednesday to go to swimming lady's house to finish up with the Shoprite coupons and look at her medical directives.  Need to see if she addressed the MOLST form with her doctor.  Heard from a lady in CA who I knew would know many of the people associated in the "The Death Within the Death" program but a couple of people I knew were new to her. LOVE that when that happens.

Today - dodge raindrops on my walk to Unionville and curl up with CIRCLE once the rain starts.  :)  Will check in to make sure TX/NM friend made it to NM with their caravan - her in their suburban with trailer and her husband in a rental truck packed to the gills.  It is normally a 12-13 hour drive. Not sure if all the load slowed them down.  House is still not sold in TX so I will leave the TX/NM in place until it does.

Reached out to two birthday people - both in NC.  :)

A new solar year gets underway on Tuesday when the Sun moves into your sign, and with mind planet Mercury on your side as well, you most likely know exactly what you will be doing. It’s good to have a plan, and even better to put it to work.

Family obligations may cause you to miss out on more exciting events, dearest Libra, as the Capricorn Moon forms difficult aspects with Mercury and Jupiter. Instead of wallowing in misery, hatch a plan so you might have the best of both worlds. Splitting your time or inviting friends over can help you feel included without abandoning kin. Don't let a fear of upsetting the balance prevent you from changing up plans while Venus and Uranus form an off-kilter aspect. As long as you're willing to take initiative, loved ones won't seem so resistant to going with the flow.

If you've been having trouble reaching a romantic partner, Libra, it might be a good idea to stop trying. Your friend is having a rough day and might not make the best company. In fact, your beloved could view a call from you as an unwelcome interruption and be short, if not downright rude. If you speak with your friend, keep it brief and plan to get together - just not today.

3:41 a.m. as we speak.  Plenty of time to get do my morning routine and have the best chance to dodge raindrops. But I might delay my outreach to anyone today..."just not today". :)  Have a good Sunday.

Lots of input today...it's "a thing" right now :)

Got a great card from friend in Cambridge MA.  Artist of the painting was new to me - https://www.kmmstudio.com/  Beautiful card and welcome message. And it tied into my fall brings change thoughts of late.  The sender is one of the kindest, most sensitive person I have encountered in my life.  Don't see her often, but she and her husband have been in and out of my life since 1975 when I moved up to Boston to live with her and my TX/NM friend while I killed some time before I left for Ecuador...I call it my drunken sailor phase.  TX/NM was a NICU nurse at Mass General, friend and her husband - musicians.  Husband went to and was hired right after graduation and is there to this day at Berklee College of Music.  They got me a temp job working at the Harvard Science Center in the cafeteria where lots of their musician friends made their "folding money".  Interesting times me.

Balance of yesterday - hope I remember it all...  walked, dropped off Contrapposto on the front end, had my satchel with me with my two plastic bottles I wanted to cash in at Shoprite, so headed there post library drop.  Beautiful day.  Had a couple of chats along the way.  One was with one of the pollinator trail ladies who work tirelessly on the rails-to-trails keeping them welcoming for all kinds of pollinators.  She took my passing by as a chance to sit for a minute (she was digging out invasive plants) and we talked about my uncomfortable relationship with nature - bugs, ticks, poison ivy and the like, my love of walking on asphalt and concrete - and then got to my no doctor/natural death desire and she said "I read this book that was so moving" and it was Dr. Kerr's - Death Is But a Dream: Finding Hope and Meaning at Life's End.  She appreciated my knowledge of his back story and how he found his way to hospice doctoring when he realized the people he wanted to care for were those who had just heard from their other doctors - "there is nothing else we can do".  To Dr. Kerr, that is the opening act of the relationship not the end. Very heartfelt conversation with someone I only know from my passing her and her co-pollinator ladies along my walks.  Got home at 1:10 p.m. (left at 10 a.m.)  Had Mettle Health zoom at 2 p.m. so I got ready for that.  Great discussion.  I am no longer in the workplace, but the conversation was very good reminding me what a crappy boss I was in Houston...I wouldn't say mean, but definitely uncaring about what people were bringing in the door with them when they reported for work.  BUT I still don't think I could cut it in today's workforce...my EQ...Emotional intelligence, or EQ, is the ability to understand, use, and manage your own emotions in positive ways to communicate well, show empathy, and handle conflict.  Run fast and break things, I don't come to work to make friends...NC was a good move for me on many levels...I don't know how much my EQ needle moved, but the setting did soften some of my edges.  After the ZOOM, I heard from some people I had sent the notice about The Death Inside the Death.  https://www.gracefulfusion.com/the-death-inside-the-death.  Very excited about this event ending September and beginning in October.  Kismet.  Cosmic.  I will just say timely for me.  To be in the zoom space with Lashana again will do my heart good.  And others on the line-up - "rock stars" in the death work community.  Back and forth with sister #1.  Vaya con dios message to niece #2 who is winging back to west coast today.  I am sorry I missed seeing her, but I am glad I did not travel more than I did last week. Back and forth with one of the swimming ladies - she still needs Shoprite coupon help and she wants me to go over her Advance Directive.  I gave her some times I could swing by and I told her we might need to take the bull by the Shoprite horns and she and I can go to the store and not leave until they figure out what email address and phone number they have for her account that is gumming up the online coupon work.  She is 86.  I plan on planning the "old" card.  :) Read Crying at H Mart.  Due back without renewal option on Sept 22...better hustle.

Today - walk.  Nothing else on paper calendar.  Will spend as much time out and about as possible.  Rain forecast for all day tomorrow.  Wet sneaker walk to Unionville - again this week. And take a chunk of time to finish Crying.  :)  Added a "Breathe" event to my  Monday, Sept 21.  Will be a good Equinox lead up - Live Event: Alchemy of Breath: Breathe Into Clarity, Courage, and Inner Guidance. Noon my time.  So noon MEA, 2 p.m. Mettle Health discussion group about yesterday's webinar, 4 p.m. PA DC.  So will see how weekend sets me up for Monday. :)  6:32 a.m. already this morning.

TX/NM friend will be pulling out of TX with the moving truck this a.m.  1995-2026 for her TX stay.  Another twist of destiny - I left TX after 15 years there in 1995.  Always wonder what the "what if" might have been if the NC move had not happened.  But of course my "what if" list is volumes.  :)

Venus, your ruler, makes a challenging link to Uranus this weekend, so you could be in a rebellious mood. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but try not to say or do anything that might upset people in positions of power, including your employer.

You're entitled to a deep sleep after the busy work week, dearest Libra. As the Capricorn Moon and Neptune square off, take extra steps to ensure your beauty rest isn't disturbed. You'll feel refreshed and ready to continue along the path of leisure when Venus activates, and should treat yourself to delicacies you typically save for special occasions. A bit of luxury, time spent in your cozy home, and laid-back company will fortify the spirit and recharge your batteries. Consider enjoying some solitude and self-care while Saturn grows restless later tonight, as loved ones could easily grate on your nerves.

A passionate encounter with a love partner might cement the bond between you so thoroughly that you start talking about commitment or even a wedding. A romantic haze may permeate your interactions. Still, exercise some restraint in expressing your feelings. Hitting your friend with too much at once could have the opposite effect from the one you're hoping for. Be patient!

Solitude - no problem.  Patience...you know the answer to that for me.  :)  Have a great Saturday.

September is turning into "a month" of change and chances :)

So distracted by shiny objects last night.  :)  Right before I went into the webinar - Disappearing Grief: A History of Mourning in Plain Sight and Out of Sight I got an email announcing a new program led by a DC facilitator from COVID times.  Incredible woman and she has gathered a very - to me - impressive line up of people for a week of talks Sept 28-Oct 2.  https://www.gracefulfusion.com/the-death-inside-the-death.  Nicole and names I know and some I do not.  Very exciting.  Two sessions a day, 5 days in a row.  September will end with a bang.  I have shared with some and will share more today.  I also need to rewatch the grief webinar.  The presenter did a great job showing the history of grief practices in the US and some cross cultural references.

AND I did not wake up this a.m. until 5:30 a.m....and had a full dream night.  My mind was stimulated for sure by Nicole's announcement.  The Death Inside the Death: Family Dynamics, Death & the Healing You Didn't Expect. Monday, Sept 28 — The Truth Nobody Says Out Loud with Amy Wright Glenn & Lashana Williams Tuesday, Sept 29 — Why You Feel Twelve Again with Stephen Jenkinson and Daniel Maté Wednesday, Sept 30 — Surviving the Foxhole with Dr. Karen Wyatt and me, Nicole (yes — I'm in the interview chair too that day) Thursday, Oct 1 — The Death Inside the Death with Francesca Arnoldy and Claire Bidwell Smith Friday, Oct 2 — Portal to Healing with Wilka Roig and Pixie Lighthorse.  I am a complete fan girl for Williams, Wyatt, Roig and of course Nicole.  And have never "been in a room" with Stephen Jenkinson...very exciting.

So balance of yesterday - started reading Crying in H Mart/Zauner - came from the "Read a Red Book" display at my library.  All the books in the kiosk had red covers.  :)  Good so far.  Walked. Talked to son on phone.  He has had an interesting Sept too and more company and events to come.  Sounded like he had recharged his social battery.  Then N CA DC at 2 p.m.  Then 7 p.m. grief webinar.

Today - "late" start, walk, drop off Eggers' Contrapposto, 2 p.m. Mettle talk.  When Caregiving Comes to Work: Supporting Employees Through Illness.  Ties in a bit with last night's Grief webinar - bereavement leave should be labeled "funeral leave".  3 days that is offered at many workplaces does not cover anything but a very efficient to and from a funeral event.  Supposed to be beautiful days today and tomorrow and a wash out on Sunday so I will take full advantage of being outside.  Morning listens - All In Summit Meta's Dina Powell and then Nick Shirley...

Mercury in your sign is at odds with Saturn today, which among other things suggests that partners and colleagues may be rather negative about your ideas. Don’t make an issue of it though because by early next week their opinions will no longer matter.

You may feel as though loved ones are being unnecessarily stubborn or cold, dearest Libra. Try not to overreact or read into these behaviors while Mercury opposes Saturn, which could prevent you from seeing the full picture. Self-reflection can help you determine the best course of action under the Sagittarius quarter Moon, but you'll need to watch out for obsessive thoughts. If your mind becomes too busy, consider journaling or venting to a discreet friend. Petty squabbles dissolve as Luna forms a kite alignment with Chiron and the nodes of fate before entering Capricorn, making it easier to relax and open your heart.

Initiate a major change in your life, Libra. Break free of the humdrum and launch into something exciting. Take part in an online class that expands your mind. Consider yoga, tarot, or any form of martial arts. You have a tremendous amount of energy today. It will help you maintain confidence and endurance as you do the groundwork to put this new life-enhancing endeavor in motion.

I am feeling an energy of late...see where it takes me.  Have a good Friday.

Tried something new - an interesting angle for me :)

Wandering of late.  Fall season.  Looking for some new input channels.  Being sad not seeing niece #2 but not sad about not going to the Cape.  Back and forth with blog boss about an blog possible article.  Singlehood: The Good Deaths of Those Who Never Marry  He reached out to the author.  Dr. DePaulo.  Never have seen but heard that the show that won Jean Smart all the Emmys closed out the season with an episode with Dignitas as a focus. Back and forth by email with son.  His "social battery" was running low.  I shared with him: As to social battery...I have not recharged mine for years.  :)  Glad you are out celebrating...but ...it does mean your group is aging.  :)  Make sure you charge your battery for the autumnal equinox!   Arrives on Tuesday, September 22, at 8:04 P.M. EDT (5:04 P.M. PDT) in the Northern Hemisphere.  Looks like Detroit is joining in.  Listened to JD and Satya.  What a world.  When thinking of All-in discussions and batteries...I have "batteries that only work at analog level not digital" :)  as to my integration in where things sit now with technology.  Limiting, but now enough to make me up my game.

So yesterday - cleaned apt, walked with family friend, her daughter and her grandson.  EOLD - very sentimental with the Nervous System Support session and the send off for the facilitator who is embedding herself into her community.  I so wish her the best.  Son and I had a great breakfast and stroll in her town back in Dec 2024.  https://heartbloomyoga.com/  Then discovered a new DC on the DC web site and joined in at 7 p.m.  Only 3 of us in the room, but so worth the hour.  Very glad I stumbled into the room.  Will see if this becomes a "third Wed" thing.  Trying to wrap up latest Eggers'.  Would love to drop that off tomorrow.  We will see.

Today - N CA DC at 2, Disappearing Grief: A History of Mourning in Plain Sight and Out of Sight at 7 p.m.  Not sure what drew me to it to sign up, but ready to see.  I am not a big grief person...hard to be a big grief person when you are not a big love person.  "c'est la vie"

Spoke to sister #6.  She called about a good student of hers who is looking for a more challenging academic setting.  I shared with her about a virtual Open House at former school #2.  Public high schools are not kind places sometimes.  And for really ambitious students may not fill all the holes they want to fill.  Sister #4 is scheduled to leave the Cape for home today.  Lobster rolls at Capt Parkers on Monday, Swordfish on Wed night for her.  Didn't not hear about Tuesday p.m.  But can see from sister #1's tally at Stop & Shop...$400+ in on purchases in one week.  Yikes!!!  :)

Make the most of the next few days to get your plans worked out for the final few months of the year. If you can hit the ground running when the Sun moves into your sign next week your rivals won’t be able to live with you.

Trust that your ideas are worth sharing, darling Libra, as the Sagittarius Moon aligns with Mercury and Saturn. The people around you will be happy to see you come out of your shell, and may have valuable insights to help further your agenda. You'll also have a chance to establish healthy social boundaries without feeling awkward or unkind. Chiron backslides into Aries this evening, asking you to heal issues around love and romance between now and April 13, 2027. Being aware of how others throw you off balance is a good place to start. Auspicious encounters could lead to exciting connections when Jupiter activates tonight.

Are you presently negotiating a contract, Libra? If you and the other party disagree on any points, these differences will most likely be resolved. You'll probably come up with an idea that creates a win/win situation so both of you feel good about it. This will strengthen your relationship considerably, so expect partnership matters to progress smoothly. Enjoy your day.

Plan, auspicious encounters, enjoy my day...I will give it all a whirl.  :)  Have a good Thursday.

Another chance for change

This will be Lisa Marie's last Wednesday discussion group. Please come and bid her adieu and thank her for being such an instrumental member of The Dying Year team for the last 3 years. While we are sad to see her go, we send her blessings and wish her well as she pursues her passion developing her growing business in Mt. Shasta, CA. Lisa Marie is taking time to put her energy into her local community pursuits in Northern California through her doula work, yoga studio, and community resource building. She has been a wonderful colleague at The Dying Year and will be greatly missed!  This was the announcement for today's EOLD session.  Noon today.  Expect a "full room".  We will see how much Nervous System Support we fit in to the hour.  I wrote to her after I heard about her departure last Wednesday.  Again - change to chance opp for me.  :)

Yesterday - ran dishwasher.  LOTS to catch up with on All-In Summit - listened to Elon, Gwynne, Jensen.  Have JD and Satya to watch.  And way behind on the homesteading videos I watch - not sure why, but the North Carolina connection gets me.  Walked.  Stopped at library on tail end of walk.  Picked up Oct W&T book - Good Morning, Midnight/Lily Brooks-Dalton and another Eggers - The Circle.  CA DC.  IOWA DC in the evening.  Another "never seen the sky so blue" day weatherwise.

Today - Clean apt. Walk with family friend and her daughter/grandson.  Last days of daughter's maternity leave.  Wonder what it would have felt like for me to have taken 3 months off when my son was born instead of 3 days.  Had kid on Monday a.m., went back to work Thursday a.m. with him in tow for 9 months...  I did not make time for life events back in the day.  To say the least.  EOLD at noon.

Interesting psilocybin mentions from Chip Conley and Miles O'Brien...one person with cancer and the other who had a work related injury where he lost his arm.

Your affection for someone will increase dramatically over the next few days, but there is also a danger that you could overlook their faults to a degree that does no one any good. They will appreciate your input today, even if it is somewhat negative.

Devote your morning to sensually enriching experiences that spark creativity, and avoid jumping straight to your screens. As the Scorpio Moon squares the nodes of fate, it’s important to recognize where your focus is pointed and how it impacts your mood. You’ll feel mentally refreshed and a bit curious once Luna debuts in Sagittarius. Sweet connections with Neptune and Pluto encourage you to open up with friends this afternoon. These vibes are also perfect for nurturing romantic partnerships. Strange stirrings pique your sense of adventure when Luna opposes Uranus this evening. Allow your imagination to run wild, but avoid unnecessary risks.

You might find yourself reeling from shock when an old friend suddenly seems to show romantic interest in you. Conflicting emotions could come up, but don't write it off if you're available. There could be potential for a good relationship with this person. Don't feel that you have to either jump right in or forget the whole thing. You can test the waters for a while!

Not sure where all the emotion will come from entering my day today.  Or sense of adventure.  I will be curious to see how the day unfolds.  I will hope for the creativity spark.  :)  Have a good Wednesday.

Technology...not a tool in my tool kit :/

Where is the "hot spot" in my brain for technology? I am so in a turn-back-the-clock mood.  No reality but an aspiration.  All came about when I tried to set up the Shoprite coupon "app" on one of the swimming ladies' phone/laptop...  She had downloaded the app while I was at sister #4's, but no luck in setting up her account to download coupons.  BUT rest of day was good.

Started the day getting clothes washing done, then an extended walk, ALDI next - $13.75/5 items day.  Didn't need much.  Tried not to buy nectarines, but could not resist.  3 p.m. went up to swimming lady's.  Stayed until 5 p.m. Let go of the coupon mission and just sat out on her great porch and enjoyed the incredible weather.  On walk back talked to sisters 4,6 who were on Cape at sister #6's house.  They were walking around Hyannis Port and saw one of RFK's sons/RFK Jr's brothers.  They know I would love the celebrity sighting.  :)  Sister #4 is off to sister #1's vacation place on the Cape today.  Sister #6 is still working.  Was drawn to NE FL DC last night.  It has been years, but very glad I got the urge.  Good group.  WIDE variety of opinions and outlooks, but all good souls.  Good place to land last night after the last few days.  The weather on Monday was SOOO blue sky, entry to Fall temps.  Beautiful day.

Today - run dishwasher, CA DC at 1 p.m., IOWA DC at 7 p.m.  Double booked at 7 p.m. but will get the recording of the PCV event - Water Cremation.  Not an interest point of mine but always curious as to what people are finding attractive.

Listening to the latest GeriPal as we speak.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2feM0yEMdnY  Dementia is such a thing for people my age.

Venus, your ruler, is currently moving through the money area of your chart, which is generally a good omen. However, as Venus squares up to Pluto today, mistakes could easily occur. Question what other people tell you, and question your own senses too.

Seek environments you feel secure in while the Scorpio Moon squares Jupiter, dearest Libra. These vibes put you in the mood to socialize, but unfamiliar dynamics may cause you to overcompensate in an attempt to impress. Meanwhile, Venus forms challenging aspects with Neptune and Pluto, applying pressure to your foundations. Avoid making unwise decisions around love or money. You should also be mindful of how your social life impacts your finances. Focus on what you hope to build once Luna aligns with the Sun and Mars this evening, outlining a strategy that feels both inspired and practical.

A meeting is likely to happen during the course of the working day, Libra. This should lead to pleasant and interesting conversations, possibly involving philosophy, spiritual matters, or the arts. Communication should be clear and open. Correspondence could take up almost as much time as conversations right now.

I will try to have "situational awareness" on my day's activities.  Keep a good thought for that.  Weather looks to be supportive for being outside.  Have a good Tuesday.

Back to the real world :)

Completely and totally (to this minute on my window sill :/ ) wet sneakers from my walk yesterday morning.  Will hope by 10 a.m. they will be less soggy.  Did get distracted by shiny objects a bit this a.m.  Linkedin and a mention of "Golden Girls" housing options by the Modern Elder Academy people.  I do hope the man behind that project has a succession plan as he addresses his medical issues in a way that makes sense for him.  I don't buy what he is selling on his choices, but that is about 99% of people's choices when it comes to involving medical procedures at end of life.  Looks like he is a decade younger than I am so I will let that go...not really, but I will try.

So yesterday - sibling call with sister #1, sadness but not regret for not getting myself to the Cape this week.  I need to write and send along something to niece #2 who is there from CA.  Right before the Death Sangha at 1 p.m., landlady left homemade granola on my stoop.  Now my every other day pancakes will take on a new look and more tasty!  Took in a bit of news that I missed when at sister #4's, but a bit was more than enough.  I ended the day with my Eggers book rather than news.

Today - it is 5:51 a.m. already.  :)  Wash clothes, walk, ALDI. No need for Shoprite stop.  Don't need much at the store.  Nothing on my paper calendar.  Did just go in to make sure I had all the coupons checked off for sister #1 at Stop and Shop.  And saw that she did get the $3 off after I converted "points" to dollars.  In one week she has spent more on groceries than I have in 20 weeks...  :)  Aging with privilege is a beautiful thing.  :)  But I do not aspire to the food or travel aspects except a very short list of people I would love to be sitting in their living room with.  I will figure that out.

Decided that next Monday will be the moving my bed and changing to flannel sheets for the next quarter.  It is a flip and turn on the mattress so I need to get my mind about that exercise.  :)

Yes, you can change the world, but not on your own and not without a lot of hard work. That is the message of the stars as the new week begins, so team up with people whose aims reflect your own and then put in some serious effort.

Tap into the present by looking for beauty and acknowledging your foundations, dearest Libra. As the Scorpio Moon aspects Venus and Pluto, try not to let materialistic desires sully your sense of gratitude. However, it's okay to want more if you're willing to fight for your dreams. A burst of motivation inspires you to push your agenda forward once the Virgo Sun and Mars align this afternoon. Retreat to a private environment to improve focus as you test your own limits. Dreamy vibes put you in a romantic mood when Neptune and Pluto form a sweet aspect this evening.

Does it feel like someone's raining on your parade today, Libra? No surprise there. You may feel like you're stuck in a bog, so wear your galoshes and give it your best shot. That's all you can do. People may be extra touchy and impatient with ridiculous banter, even if it is polite. Try not to make sense of things that seem confusing now. Come back to them in a couple days.

Hard work and collaboration...wish me luck.  :) BUT starting with pancakes and granola...good way to start the day and week.   Have a good Monday.

Wrap day by the pool/ocean... :)

Sitting home this a.m. Sunday.  Great day yesterday.  Walk at the beach.  Pool time before I headed home.  Once again Weekapaug/Watch Hill speak to the fact that many do not have a care in the world.  :)  Checked on the ride home to see if I left a lot of money on the table buying gas at Cumbie's rather than Go Happy gas.  But Go Happy was only $.03 less than Cumbie's.

Once I got home, unpacked, worked on shorts :), read, called it a day.

Today's plan - Walk to Unionville, season clothes washing water.  Re-entry day. :)

Something that made little sense to you yesterday will start to make sense today, and no doubt you will kick yourself mentally when you realize why you were unable to “get it” earlier. Never mind. What matters is that you make good use of the insight.

Conserve your energy as the Moon moves through your sign and squares Mars, dearest Libra. Otherwise, you may lack the endurance necessary to seize opportunities on the horizon. A spiritual approach to recharging your batteries will prove effective and enlightening as Mercury aspects Uranus. Now is also a good time to experiment with your psychic gifts and ability to connect with unseen forces. You will sense changes within your social sphere as Luna aspects the nodes of fate and debuts in Scorpio. Stay connected to loyal friends, but invite in new connections that align more seamlessly with your hopes and dreams.

Your fantasy world is piqued today, Libra. Your imagination is running wild. Maintain a certain amount of control over your emotions or they may get the better of you. You could find yourself in a cloud of confusion by afternoon. Avoid this by trying to ground yourself throughout the day. Make sure your actions result from an equal balance between thought and emotion.

No kicking myself, conserve my energy, imagination running wild.  Stay calm.  :)  Have a good Sunday.

That was a day!

Not a scene from yesterday, but niece #4 and her husband.  They were the focus of the day yesterday.  Niece graduated from YNHH with her RN and now is working on her MS in midwifery.  She graduated from Centre College in 2016.  But something drew her to the midwife/birth doula work.  Onward and upward.  Yale is quite the historic campus - in a very understatement of the year description.

But my day started in sister #4's pool, then a walk, then drive to NH, then ceremony, then back to niece's rental house.  Then back to sister #4's, had a snack and back in the pool from 8-9 p.m.  :)  Will do the dip/walk again this a.m.  Then head back home later this afternoon.  I will let the W&T ladies take care of book club this month.

AND backyard haircut for me thanks to sister #6 who arrived at #4's about 10 a.m.  :)

Did work on my shorts with the broken zipper.  I knew sister #4 would have sewing materials including the key to the project - seam ripper.  :)  Feel like a remedy is within reach for the shorts that actually fit me.  Of course the advice of those around me yesterday - "throw them out, buy a new pair".  I am not there yet.  :)

Recent developments of a personal nature have made it easier for you to face up to elements of your personality that you had previously pretended did not exist. That’s good, because being honest with yourself is an essential step on the road to success.

The universe takes a playful approach to offering up guidance and blessings, darling Libra. As Luna moves through your sign and aspects Uranus, release expectations so surprises can filter in. You'll be in a dreamy mood as Mercury aligns with Pluto and Neptune, and will feel extra grateful for those who hold a special place in your heart. Plan a romantic date or enjoy a relaxing excursion with friends to maximize these elevating vibes. Your love life may require some restructuring when Luna opposes Saturn later today. If you're on the hunt for companionship, ask to be set up or explore unfamiliar dating apps once Jupiter activates later tonight.

You could encounter a potential romantic partner today, Libra. You'll probably connect with this person at a group event or gathering and hit it off immediately. This person is likely to be bright, physically attractive, kindhearted, and sensitive. If you're single and available, don't pass up this opportunity. Take advantage of the chance to get to know each other. Who knows where this might lead?

No hunt in place.  But I will look forward to being home - even with its no pool situation...  Oh well.  Have a good Saturday.

New location for this a.m. :)

Made it to my sister's house yesterday.  Always a roll of the dice with the MAZDA but good trip. Cumbie's for gas.  Got in the pool. :)

But as of keeping track of stuff, I did not bring my paper journal - so writing down 9:07 p.m. and 5:21 a.m. as end of yesterday, start of today and that I had full dreams.  Brother was prominent but lots of people. Having some bad instant coffee as we speak.  So yesterday - read, regular walk, got in car at 11:30 a.m. got to sister #4's at 1:30 p.m. Walked to GRAZE to pick up "linner" at 4 p.m.  Got on a RPCV call at 6, FEN annual member meeting at 7 p.m.

Plan for today.  Sister #6 to arrive at 10-ish a.m. and then we will make our game plan for getting to New Haven for her daughter, our niece's white coat ceremony for her nursing degree.  Second career situation.  She is 32 this year.

Then back to sister #4's for me and back home on Saturday at some point.  W&T is at 2 p.m. but not sure if I will make that.

Recent developments of a personal nature have made it easier for you to face up to elements of your personality that you had previously pretended did not exist. That’s good, because being honest with yourself is an essential step on the road to success.

You may feel busy and unproductive all at once as the Virgo Moon drifts through a void of course state. Take stock of tasks that must be completed before the weekend begins, and push off any work that can wait for another day. Pursue your own desires while evening emerges and Luna enters your sign, encouraging you to be a tad selfish. Self-care, passion projects, and seeking the spotlight are all valid ways to channel these vibes. You'll be the subject of much adoration when the Moon aligns with Mercury, Pluto, and Neptune, though some companions might resent this sudden boost in popularity.

Stress and job frustration might have you thinking about breaking free, walking out the door, and going somewhere else. Another thought is likely to concern going back to school and training for a career in another field. You might need a vacation, and returning to school could be a great idea in the future, but don't decide today. Wait a few days at least.

Aspiration level is pretty low.  Nothing needs to change...for now.  And it is September 11.  How life changed and how many living today do not even grasp how life changed forever on that day.  Something to think about today but with the eye to what is ahead and not in the past..  Have a good Friday.

Travel day... :/

Can't seem to upload pic to blog...oh well.  Will see if anything else feels "off".  Yesterday - cleaned apt, walked with family friend, her daughter and youngest grandson.  EOLD - found out that long time facilitator is stepping away.  I sent a thank you to her.  Finished Careless People.  Started latest Eggers.  Talked to Albany CA DC facilitator.  He was checking in about me letting him know I was not going to Lansing.  Dinner upstairs at landlord's with long time friend, his sister.  :)

Today - walk, drive to sister #4's.  Anxiety level high but not sure if it is all about travel or the computer acting up...doesn't take much.  Also a bit about son.  Wondering if anything is up out there.  Need to calm my mind.  Big ask.  :)

If you do what makes you happy today rather than what makes other people happy, you won’t go far wrong. Mercury’s move into your sign will help you think three steps ahead, so no one is able to hold you back from following your dreams.

You're entering an era of finery and prosperity, darling Libra, thanks to Venus' debut in Scorpio. Meanwhile, Mercury makes its way into your sign, making it easier to advocate for yourself and what you deserve. If you're not used to asking for what you want, now is your moment to speak up finally. Though some negotiating may be in order, you'll have a gift for tipping the scales in your favor. Don't back down if your requests are reasonable. Seek solitude when the Virgo New Moon rises tonight and aspects Mars, marking the perfect occasion to brainstorm a plan for building success throughout the next six months.

Online group activities that you attend today are likely to be spiritually oriented, such as group meditations. You could communicate with new friends from faraway places who share your interests. Though you're usually more intellectually inclined, today you should be feeling especially intuitive. Write down your thoughts and ideas lest you forget them. You may want to use them later.

I will see where the day takes me after this morning "hiccup".  Keep a good thought for that.  Have a good Thursday.

September as the new January? :)

I am leaning into the seasons and solstices as the opportunity for change.  The summer to fall being especially pronounced as to changes - and sneezing.  :)  And I am reminded that in a couple of weeks - moving my bed to its fall/winter position, flip and turn mattress.  Physically inviting change to come in.  Will see where this season takes me.  But not to Cape Cod.  :)

Yesterday - ran dishwasher, read, walked, picked up the new Eggers book.  “In this satisfyingly old-school novel, an artist tries to find his place, and hold onto his spark, in a world that values fads and flash. . . . Contrapposto is an earthy, warm return to form . . . . To call the book ‘moving’ would be a smelly cliché, so let’s say undulating, with both despair and hope.” —Alexandra Jacobs, The New York Times Book Review  Finishing up Careless People - I will need a "satisfyingly old-school novel" after this read.  Would love to know what the REAL conversations are that are happening at the social media company as we go into the mid term elections...OR maybe all is realigned over the decade since the setting of the book.  Fingers crossed.  Or the social media has its fingers crossed behind its back.  After walk - CA DC, FEN DC, "late night" for me Death Sangha - guided meditation no sharing aspect to this session.  Each session different depending on the facilitator.

Feel I do not know the whole story about what might be happening in son's life...but I will "let life come to me" on that front.  Son knows his mother's limits as to information processing as it pertains to his life and times.

Shared with sister #4 that I will land at her house on Thursday.  Event for niece #4 on Friday and will return home at some point over the weekend when sister #4 leaves for Cape.

Today changed up a bit after landlady invited me up for dinner tonight to see her sister-in-law/my friend since nursery school who will be in town from FL.  So today - clean apt, walk with family friend, dinner and we will see if things wrap up in time for me to catch a bit of Lansing DC.

What you have been going through lately is no doubt tough, but in the greater scheme of things, it will do you more good than harm. Keep telling yourself that the good times are just around the next corner. What you believe today will be your reality tomorrow.

Distant friendships evolve into something more meaningful as the Leo Moon aspects Venus and the nodes of fate. Be open to exploring deeper connections with kindred spirits you haven't gotten a chance to get to know. Conversations grow increasingly intimate once Luna enters Virgo and aligns with Chiron, and sharing your story can feel both validating and healing. Opportunities for romance also come into play when Luna, Pluto, and Saturn enter a rare yod formation this evening, though the clues will be subtle. Risks could lead to rewards later tonight, thanks to a lucky aspect between the Moon and Uranus.

Your world is changing, Libra, both internally and externally. You feel a need to broaden your horizons. You may be contemplating a move to a new neighborhood or trip to a faraway land. The people in your life will change as a result of this. You're about to embark on a new phase of life, and these new friends will act as able guides.

Cosmic guidance seems to be singing the same "September is the new January" tune...  :)  Have a good Wednesday.

Things I forgot from yesterday... :)

From Monday.  Washed clothes and went to ALDI. $10.96/6 item day. Only needed bananas and grapes and threw in some bread, relish, salt. From Monday N&O reminded that 30 years ago Sept 6...Hurricane Fran and our evacuation from our trailer park...Sept 1996, arrived in North Carolina June 1995.  Put earrings in to make sure the holes were still open in case I wanted to wear earrings on Friday.  :)  Dropped off A Long Winter.  Walked.  Read - if I wanted to dislike a certain social media company any more, reading Careless People would seal the deal. Almost done.  Full dream night with former school #1 back to school day.  Back and forth with brother on text for his birthday.  First "Fall-ish" weather day = full blown hay fever day.  Sneezed LOTS while walking.  Had to smile with how happy I was with my meal #2.  1/4 portion of a bag-o-salad, piece of a homemade bread item from party on Sunday, hard boiled egg, chunk of cheese, chips and dip, nectarine, corn from my 10 for $2 buy, half glass of gingerale.  :)

Today - run dishwasher, walk, CA DC, FEN, Death Sangha.  With reading in between.  Will also let sister #4 know my plan for Thursday through Saturday.  Tomorrow EOLD and Lansing.  Thursday - sister #4's and RPCV ZOOM and FEN webinar.  Friday YNH for ceremony for niece #4.  Saturday or Sunday back home.  Want to be home by 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Have nothing to do with someone who says one thing but then immediately starts doing the opposite. If they are unable to make up their mind about their own activities, it’s unlikely they will be able to help you. They are not to be trusted

You have the power to influence others and start a movement, darling Libra, as the Leo Moon aspects Saturn and Jupiter. Refine your message to strengthen your voice, earn the admiration of peers, and gain support. These vibes will have you thinking on a grand scale, but it’s important to know your limits and what you can sustainably advocate for. Don’t push yourself to solve world issues you’re not qualified to take on. Instead, focus on fights that are a little closer to home. Even small improvements within your community can have a greater impact down the line.

You've probably had a busy week, Libra, and may feel out of sorts today. Perhaps you had too much good food last night, stayed up too late, or both. It goes against your grain to stay in and rest, but this is the perfect day to curl up with a good book. You're going to want some exercise, but don't overdo it. As you well know, you can get too much of a good thing!

Too early for my third guidance.  Will check back later...  :)  Have a good Tuesday.

That was different ... :)

Memory lane items - creating a winding road - did tried to outweigh the awkwardness at the gathering.  A bit of a "you can't go home again".  Hard to gather people on a holiday weekend and turn back the clock.  But I got to visit with two people I do enjoy.  The surprise classmate of mine...not as uplifting.  He was there with his 4th wife.  My massage therapist and her mother were fun to talk to.  So the age range was 90-ish to Class of 77.  My chips and dip did not even get out of the bag. That was a totally wasted effort.  Too much food set up where no one was hanging out.  I do have "a thing" about wasting food.  Not sure how many there were expecting, but I would say 15-20 tops with food with twice that.  Oh well.  Me and get togethers...always a challenge - my 6 person limit is reinforced. Will take my chips and dip with me on Thursday and hope it gets eaten over the weekend.

Yesterday - walked to Unionville, read - Careless People.  Very good so far.  Walked to party 4 p.m.  Walked home at 7 p.m.  Sibling call.  Sister #1 off to PA, then Cape Cod on Tuesday. Fun call with facilitator of Albany CA DC on my walk. Will check in with sister #4 to make sure my coming down to her house on Thursday works.  Two ZOOMS on Thursday night.  Niece #4's graduation from nursing school on Friday.  Back home for me by 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Today - Wash clothes, drop off A Long Winter at book drop at library.  Walk.  Read.

Setbacks of one kind or another are inevitable over the next few days, but they don’t have to be harmful. Deal with them as and when they arise and then move on to the next thing that needs to be done. Move toward success with every step you take.

Lack of self-care may cause you to hit a wall before the work week has a chance to kick off, dear Libra. Honor your needs and set better professional boundaries while the Cancer Moon squares Venus. Disgruntled peers could make a power grab once Luna enters Leo and clashes with Chiron, so try not to leave anyone in a lurch. Luckily, there will be plenty of people who are ready to defend and support you if necessary when Pluto and Neptune activate midafternoon. You'll be in an impulsive mood as Uranus activates this evening, and should explore your community.

Issues regarding love and romance are at a climactic point right now, Libra, and you could be rather combative. Your energy in this area may come in waves, and you're likely to be so charged up about the situation that you feel like a time bomb ready to explode. Don't destroy something wonderful by wanting a great deal more than you really need.

Calm and focused will be my approach today.  Do not envision any encounters with other beings for the day so I will try to stay out of my own way.  :)  Have a good Monday.

Guided by the light :)

SO happy that I did my snack shopping on Friday.  Late start yesterday, got rained on on my walk which would have made toting my satchel even more troublesome.  Choices reek havoc with my word work and are always there everyday as I decide "what now?"... Friday was such a better shopping day, yesterday was such a better - no "have tos" day.  Except for the Lansing DC which is like a breath of fresh air on the 1st Saturday and 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Lots of input from GA DC group this weekend - NY Times articles about Quietus, Wendell Barry, France passed MAiD law.  Blog work a couple more articles approved and put in the queue.  Watched an interesting show about University of Wyoming program trying to keep "Made In the West" still alive in the arts - Rather than a standalone academic degree, it is an acclaimed integration of traditional Western craftsmanship into higher education curricula designed to preserve dying art forms. I get encouraged by all apprentice type programs or the like of what sister #6's school is trying where a project rather than essay is a part of their progression. Obviously don't know much about it, but sounds like a good option for many students who need more hands on as part of their day.

Ran into birthday girl and her brother as they drove by me on my wander.  Brother said there was someone from my high school class who would be there...party and surprises...two favorites.  :)

Ouch on the Clemson score.

Today - walk to Unionville, par-tee at 4 p.m., nothing else on paper calendar until Tuesday when it is CA DC, FEN program, Death Sangha line up.  Should be ready to return A Long Winter to library drop slot tomorrow.

You have taken a lot of decisions on the heart level over the past few weeks but not so many on the head level. That will change when Mercury enters your sign in midweek, so keep thinking and keep looking for new ways to prosper.

It's okay to admit that you're out of energy to give, dear Libra. The universe encourages rest and strong boundaries while the Cancer Moon aspects Saturn and the Virgo Sun. If loved ones truly want to spend time with you, let them know what you need to feel supported. A bit of peace, quiet, and pampering is likely all you require to reclaim balance. You'll benefit from a sudden burst of motivation when Mars stirs this afternoon, and should use this boost to catch up on responsibilities. Review long-term goals and the progress you've made once Luna and Mercury align tonight, adjusting your plans if necessary.

Weariness may have you feeling a bit listless today, Libra, and you're likely to want to stay home in bed rather than go anywhere. This goes against your normal inclination, so you could be tempted to bite the bullet and get out in spite of your malaise. Don't fall into this trap. Get some rest so that when you absolutely have to go out, you'll be your old self again.

Will try to be "un-malaised" at the get together today.  It is only 3 hours.  I can do this.  :)  Have a good Sunday.

Full Friday - in my silly life's way :)

Got this from Emberlight in my email box this a.m.:  Two gatherings this season ask a version of the same question: What does it take to become someone a community can lean on, and what happens when that person is the one who needs holding?  Leaning in and leaning on...Always an interesting balance for me.  But yesterday I had another example of me being guided and led.  Not in any monumental way, but in the "snack item" pursuit.  I decided to take the bull by the horn and do my shopping - on foot - on Friday and not today. ALDI is packed on Saturdays and I had my additional task of getting store credit for the Millville pancake syrup that was uneatable. So, reading and writing, set off for walk with a satchel with plastic bottle to cash in at Shoprite - name brand Lemonade sister #1 had purchased when she was here and I finally finished off.  Then to ALDI - I had looked at their weekly flyer and decided I would go with chips and salsa and chips and dip AND hope to get out for $10.  So with my store credit of $2.35, I walked out at $7.17/4 items. Done.  It was a long feeling walk home with my satchel AND salsa was heavy and did not want to crunch any of the chip items.  :)  Life in my world is a funny thing.  Did drop off Eggers at the library on front end of walk.  About half way through A Long Winter.  Very good and very short.  Also glad I did my errand yesterday as I have Lansing DC at 10 a.m. this morning and that would have put a time restraint on yesterday than I do not have today and I can do my regular Saturday route.

GA DC member shared the NYT article about Quietus.  Did not take NYS long to figure out a cottage industry approach to MAiD.  I keep thinking if more people see there is money to be made...the bandwagon and the range of motion will increase.  BUT my hair did get on fire with the latest GeriPal episode...the elderly and GLP-1s... per the internet - "More than 600,000 seniors have signed up for GLP-1 weight-loss medications in the first two months of the new federal program."  More from the internet - "Scott Galloway argues that GLP-1 medications will have a greater, more transformative impact on human well-being and the U.S. economy than artificial intelligence."  What a world...

AND got home from my walk to find the landlady had dropped off some of her homemade ginger snaps.  She must have "sensed" that I was have a day.

So today - Lansing DC, walk.  "Pack up" dishes to take with my sharing for Sunday.  I don't want to have to bother the birthday girl or her brother so I will bring my bowls and such.

Got a text from son yesterday - "All good with tornado Detroit new on my end :) seems to be making national news.  Nothing else.  I will see if he calls today.  He has been working on projects of late that have been full days so last week he called before he headed to his pizza work.  :)

Have nothing to do with someone who says one thing but then immediately starts doing the opposite. If they are unable to make up their mind about their own activities, it’s unlikely they will be able to help you. They are not to be trusted.

Wishes are granted early this morning, darling Libra, thanks to sweet aspects between the Gemini Moon and nodes of fate. Muster the courage to dream big, gathering the strength to see these visions through. The universe rewards determination once Luna enters Cancer and aligns with Chiron. Double your effectiveness by partnering up with someone you've been wanting to collaborate with. These vibes also bode well for matters of the heart, helping you move romantic connections forward. However, you'd be wise to protect yourself from those who have a habit of making empty promises when Neptune stirs up deceptive vibes this afternoon.

Some new information could come your way that causes you to focus on a new interest, Libra. It'll set your mind traveling to faraway places and times. You may also communicate with some new people who are highly educated, from foreign lands, or both. They might have fascinating stories to tell! Whatever happens, today promises to excite your curiosity and stimulate your intellect.

Listening to All-In as we speak.  Great email from niece #1 yesterday.  Can't get a better pic than the one of her husband walking their son into school on the first day.  What a gift that she found this man in the Southern Part of Heaven!  AND his school is right across the street from their house.  Magic.  Have a magic Saturday.

Challenge of the day...snack item?

I should have stuck to what I know and said I would bring a bread item...snack item?  Chips and salsa and chips and dip are in my mind now.  I will see if anything else strikes me today as I wander ALDI and Shoprite.  Friday is not my usual day to walk to Shoppes, but I needs some extra nudges.  I also am not a fan of "get togethers" and I am thinking Sunday will be a greater than 6 people crowd.  Oh well.  I said yes to going and "a snack item" so here goes.  Good news I can walk back and forth so I don't have to add driving my car to my list of "angst items".  :)

So yesterday - texted TX/NM friend re anniversary - big gathering this weekend at her TX house for kids and families to say good bye to that house.  Walk.  Finished Eggers book (will return that to library on my wander today), started A Long Winter, CA DC (there are lots of CA DCs).  Very good group and now that swimming is over, I will try to make more of these 1st and 3rd Thursday gatherings.  Did watch a GeriPal episode about old people and GLP-1s...I am so not happy with that family of drugs.  "Scott Galloway has frequently written and spoken about GLP-1 receptor agonists having a more profound and immediate impact on human well-being and the economy than artificial intelligence."  or "An "Ozempic baby" is a popular term for an unexpected or unplanned pregnancy that happens while taking GLP-1 receptor agonist weight-loss and diabetes medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro." Yikes!

Today - nothing on my paper calendar.  I had noted "pay insurance" but I took care of that last week.  So walk and making a plan for "snack item" acquisition...  :)   Keep a good thought that something jumps off the shelf at ALDI or Shoprite.  And that I get my store credit for - in my mind - not edible pancake syrup I bought at ALDI.

With Venus, planet of beauty and pleasure, moving through your sign, you are unlikely to look kindly on anyone who tries to hurry you along. Travel at a speed that feels comfortable to you and ignore those who say you are lagging behind.

The Gemini quarter Moon puts you in a mysterious yet outgoing mood, dearest Libra. Enjoy the company of others while Saturn and Jupiter stir, but keep your secrets under wraps. You'll have a gift for reading the people around you, which could help you identify who to connect with when traversing large crowds. If someone grabs your attention, walk up and introduce yourself. A boost in charisma makes you difficult to resist, and the friends you gain may elevate your status. Speak less and listen more once Luna squares Mercury midafternoon, and you'll be surprised by how much peers are willing to reveal.

You could be in a fanciful mood all day, Libra, so you may not be too focused on this world. This is great for artistic or metaphysical studies, as well as being sensitive to others. Beware of a tendency to daydream when you should pay attention! You might want to break out of the mundane world and follow your dreams, but this isn't the day to do it. It's a good day to plan.

Will see where my mysterious mood takes me today.  Keep a good thought that if nothing else I "encounter" my snack item.  All planning, no daydreaming.  :)  Have a good Friday.
