Travel day... :/

Can't seem to upload pic to blog...oh well.  Will see if anything else feels "off".  Yesterday - cleaned apt, walked with family friend, her daughter and youngest grandson.  EOLD - found out that long time facilitator is stepping away.  I sent a thank you to her.  Finished Careless People.  Started latest Eggers.  Talked to Albany CA DC facilitator.  He was checking in about me letting him know I was not going to Lansing.  Dinner upstairs at landlord's with long time friend, his sister.  :)

Today - walk, drive to sister #4's.  Anxiety level high but not sure if it is all about travel or the computer acting up...doesn't take much.  Also a bit about son.  Wondering if anything is up out there.  Need to calm my mind.  Big ask.  :)

If you do what makes you happy today rather than what makes other people happy, you won’t go far wrong. Mercury’s move into your sign will help you think three steps ahead, so no one is able to hold you back from following your dreams.

You're entering an era of finery and prosperity, darling Libra, thanks to Venus' debut in Scorpio. Meanwhile, Mercury makes its way into your sign, making it easier to advocate for yourself and what you deserve. If you're not used to asking for what you want, now is your moment to speak up finally. Though some negotiating may be in order, you'll have a gift for tipping the scales in your favor. Don't back down if your requests are reasonable. Seek solitude when the Virgo New Moon rises tonight and aspects Mars, marking the perfect occasion to brainstorm a plan for building success throughout the next six months.

Online group activities that you attend today are likely to be spiritually oriented, such as group meditations. You could communicate with new friends from faraway places who share your interests. Though you're usually more intellectually inclined, today you should be feeling especially intuitive. Write down your thoughts and ideas lest you forget them. You may want to use them later.

I will see where the day takes me after this morning "hiccup".  Keep a good thought for that.  Have a good Thursday.

September as the new January? :)

I am leaning into the seasons and solstices as the opportunity for change.  The summer to fall being especially pronounced as to changes - and sneezing.  :)  And I am reminded that in a couple of weeks - moving my bed to its fall/winter position, flip and turn mattress.  Physically inviting change to come in.  Will see where this season takes me.  But not to Cape Cod.  :)

Yesterday - ran dishwasher, read, walked, picked up the new Eggers book.  “In this satisfyingly old-school novel, an artist tries to find his place, and hold onto his spark, in a world that values fads and flash. . . . Contrapposto is an earthy, warm return to form . . . . To call the book ‘moving’ would be a smelly cliché, so let’s say undulating, with both despair and hope.” —Alexandra Jacobs, The New York Times Book Review  Finishing up Careless People - I will need a "satisfyingly old-school novel" after this read.  Would love to know what the REAL conversations are that are happening at the social media company as we go into the mid term elections...OR maybe all is realigned over the decade since the setting of the book.  Fingers crossed.  Or the social media has its fingers crossed behind its back.  After walk - CA DC, FEN DC, "late night" for me Death Sangha - guided meditation no sharing aspect to this session.  Each session different depending on the facilitator.

Feel I do not know the whole story about what might be happening in son's life...but I will "let life come to me" on that front.  Son knows his mother's limits as to information processing as it pertains to his life and times.

Shared with sister #4 that I will land at her house on Thursday.  Event for niece #4 on Friday and will return home at some point over the weekend when sister #4 leaves for Cape.

Today changed up a bit after landlady invited me up for dinner tonight to see her sister-in-law/my friend since nursery school who will be in town from FL.  So today - clean apt, walk with family friend, dinner and we will see if things wrap up in time for me to catch a bit of Lansing DC.

What you have been going through lately is no doubt tough, but in the greater scheme of things, it will do you more good than harm. Keep telling yourself that the good times are just around the next corner. What you believe today will be your reality tomorrow.

Distant friendships evolve into something more meaningful as the Leo Moon aspects Venus and the nodes of fate. Be open to exploring deeper connections with kindred spirits you haven't gotten a chance to get to know. Conversations grow increasingly intimate once Luna enters Virgo and aligns with Chiron, and sharing your story can feel both validating and healing. Opportunities for romance also come into play when Luna, Pluto, and Saturn enter a rare yod formation this evening, though the clues will be subtle. Risks could lead to rewards later tonight, thanks to a lucky aspect between the Moon and Uranus.

Your world is changing, Libra, both internally and externally. You feel a need to broaden your horizons. You may be contemplating a move to a new neighborhood or trip to a faraway land. The people in your life will change as a result of this. You're about to embark on a new phase of life, and these new friends will act as able guides.

Cosmic guidance seems to be singing the same "September is the new January" tune...  :)  Have a good Wednesday.

Things I forgot from yesterday... :)

From Monday.  Washed clothes and went to ALDI. $10.96/6 item day. Only needed bananas and grapes and threw in some bread, relish, salt. From Monday N&O reminded that 30 years ago Sept 6...Hurricane Fran and our evacuation from our trailer park...Sept 1996, arrived in North Carolina June 1995.  Put earrings in to make sure the holes were still open in case I wanted to wear earrings on Friday.  :)  Dropped off A Long Winter.  Walked.  Read - if I wanted to dislike a certain social media company any more, reading Careless People would seal the deal. Almost done.  Full dream night with former school #1 back to school day.  Back and forth with brother on text for his birthday.  First "Fall-ish" weather day = full blown hay fever day.  Sneezed LOTS while walking.  Had to smile with how happy I was with my meal #2.  1/4 portion of a bag-o-salad, piece of a homemade bread item from party on Sunday, hard boiled egg, chunk of cheese, chips and dip, nectarine, corn from my 10 for $2 buy, half glass of gingerale.  :)

Today - run dishwasher, walk, CA DC, FEN, Death Sangha.  With reading in between.  Will also let sister #4 know my plan for Thursday through Saturday.  Tomorrow EOLD and Lansing.  Thursday - sister #4's and RPCV ZOOM and FEN webinar.  Friday YNH for ceremony for niece #4.  Saturday or Sunday back home.  Want to be home by 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Have nothing to do with someone who says one thing but then immediately starts doing the opposite. If they are unable to make up their mind about their own activities, it’s unlikely they will be able to help you. They are not to be trusted

You have the power to influence others and start a movement, darling Libra, as the Leo Moon aspects Saturn and Jupiter. Refine your message to strengthen your voice, earn the admiration of peers, and gain support. These vibes will have you thinking on a grand scale, but it’s important to know your limits and what you can sustainably advocate for. Don’t push yourself to solve world issues you’re not qualified to take on. Instead, focus on fights that are a little closer to home. Even small improvements within your community can have a greater impact down the line.

You've probably had a busy week, Libra, and may feel out of sorts today. Perhaps you had too much good food last night, stayed up too late, or both. It goes against your grain to stay in and rest, but this is the perfect day to curl up with a good book. You're going to want some exercise, but don't overdo it. As you well know, you can get too much of a good thing!

Too early for my third guidance.  Will check back later...  :)  Have a good Tuesday.

That was different ... :)

Memory lane items - creating a winding road - did tried to outweigh the awkwardness at the gathering.  A bit of a "you can't go home again".  Hard to gather people on a holiday weekend and turn back the clock.  But I got to visit with two people I do enjoy.  The surprise classmate of mine...not as uplifting.  He was there with his 4th wife.  My massage therapist and her mother were fun to talk to.  So the age range was 90-ish to Class of 77.  My chips and dip did not even get out of the bag. That was a totally wasted effort.  Too much food set up where no one was hanging out.  I do have "a thing" about wasting food.  Not sure how many there were expecting, but I would say 15-20 tops with food with twice that.  Oh well.  Me and get togethers...always a challenge - my 6 person limit is reinforced. Will take my chips and dip with me on Thursday and hope it gets eaten over the weekend.

Yesterday - walked to Unionville, read - Careless People.  Very good so far.  Walked to party 4 p.m.  Walked home at 7 p.m.  Sibling call.  Sister #1 off to PA, then Cape Cod on Tuesday. Fun call with facilitator of Albany CA DC on my walk. Will check in with sister #4 to make sure my coming down to her house on Thursday works.  Two ZOOMS on Thursday night.  Niece #4's graduation from nursing school on Friday.  Back home for me by 1 p.m. on Sunday.

Today - Wash clothes, drop off A Long Winter at book drop at library.  Walk.  Read.

Setbacks of one kind or another are inevitable over the next few days, but they don’t have to be harmful. Deal with them as and when they arise and then move on to the next thing that needs to be done. Move toward success with every step you take.

Lack of self-care may cause you to hit a wall before the work week has a chance to kick off, dear Libra. Honor your needs and set better professional boundaries while the Cancer Moon squares Venus. Disgruntled peers could make a power grab once Luna enters Leo and clashes with Chiron, so try not to leave anyone in a lurch. Luckily, there will be plenty of people who are ready to defend and support you if necessary when Pluto and Neptune activate midafternoon. You'll be in an impulsive mood as Uranus activates this evening, and should explore your community.

Issues regarding love and romance are at a climactic point right now, Libra, and you could be rather combative. Your energy in this area may come in waves, and you're likely to be so charged up about the situation that you feel like a time bomb ready to explode. Don't destroy something wonderful by wanting a great deal more than you really need.

Calm and focused will be my approach today.  Do not envision any encounters with other beings for the day so I will try to stay out of my own way.  :)  Have a good Monday.

Guided by the light :)

SO happy that I did my snack shopping on Friday.  Late start yesterday, got rained on on my walk which would have made toting my satchel even more troublesome.  Choices reek havoc with my word work and are always there everyday as I decide "what now?"... Friday was such a better shopping day, yesterday was such a better - no "have tos" day.  Except for the Lansing DC which is like a breath of fresh air on the 1st Saturday and 2nd Wednesday of each month.

Lots of input from GA DC group this weekend - NY Times articles about Quietus, Wendell Barry, France passed MAiD law.  Blog work a couple more articles approved and put in the queue.  Watched an interesting show about University of Wyoming program trying to keep "Made In the West" still alive in the arts - Rather than a standalone academic degree, it is an acclaimed integration of traditional Western craftsmanship into higher education curricula designed to preserve dying art forms. I get encouraged by all apprentice type programs or the like of what sister #6's school is trying where a project rather than essay is a part of their progression. Obviously don't know much about it, but sounds like a good option for many students who need more hands on as part of their day.

Ran into birthday girl and her brother as they drove by me on my wander.  Brother said there was someone from my high school class who would be there...party and surprises...two favorites.  :)

Ouch on the Clemson score.

Today - walk to Unionville, par-tee at 4 p.m., nothing else on paper calendar until Tuesday when it is CA DC, FEN program, Death Sangha line up.  Should be ready to return A Long Winter to library drop slot tomorrow.

You have taken a lot of decisions on the heart level over the past few weeks but not so many on the head level. That will change when Mercury enters your sign in midweek, so keep thinking and keep looking for new ways to prosper.

It's okay to admit that you're out of energy to give, dear Libra. The universe encourages rest and strong boundaries while the Cancer Moon aspects Saturn and the Virgo Sun. If loved ones truly want to spend time with you, let them know what you need to feel supported. A bit of peace, quiet, and pampering is likely all you require to reclaim balance. You'll benefit from a sudden burst of motivation when Mars stirs this afternoon, and should use this boost to catch up on responsibilities. Review long-term goals and the progress you've made once Luna and Mercury align tonight, adjusting your plans if necessary.

Weariness may have you feeling a bit listless today, Libra, and you're likely to want to stay home in bed rather than go anywhere. This goes against your normal inclination, so you could be tempted to bite the bullet and get out in spite of your malaise. Don't fall into this trap. Get some rest so that when you absolutely have to go out, you'll be your old self again.

Will try to be "un-malaised" at the get together today.  It is only 3 hours.  I can do this.  :)  Have a good Sunday.

Full Friday - in my silly life's way :)

Got this from Emberlight in my email box this a.m.:  Two gatherings this season ask a version of the same question: What does it take to become someone a community can lean on, and what happens when that person is the one who needs holding?  Leaning in and leaning on...Always an interesting balance for me.  But yesterday I had another example of me being guided and led.  Not in any monumental way, but in the "snack item" pursuit.  I decided to take the bull by the horn and do my shopping - on foot - on Friday and not today. ALDI is packed on Saturdays and I had my additional task of getting store credit for the Millville pancake syrup that was uneatable. So, reading and writing, set off for walk with a satchel with plastic bottle to cash in at Shoprite - name brand Lemonade sister #1 had purchased when she was here and I finally finished off.  Then to ALDI - I had looked at their weekly flyer and decided I would go with chips and salsa and chips and dip AND hope to get out for $10.  So with my store credit of $2.35, I walked out at $7.17/4 items. Done.  It was a long feeling walk home with my satchel AND salsa was heavy and did not want to crunch any of the chip items.  :)  Life in my world is a funny thing.  Did drop off Eggers at the library on front end of walk.  About half way through A Long Winter.  Very good and very short.  Also glad I did my errand yesterday as I have Lansing DC at 10 a.m. this morning and that would have put a time restraint on yesterday than I do not have today and I can do my regular Saturday route.

GA DC member shared the NYT article about Quietus.  Did not take NYS long to figure out a cottage industry approach to MAiD.  I keep thinking if more people see there is money to be made...the bandwagon and the range of motion will increase.  BUT my hair did get on fire with the latest GeriPal episode...the elderly and GLP-1s... per the internet - "More than 600,000 seniors have signed up for GLP-1 weight-loss medications in the first two months of the new federal program."  More from the internet - "Scott Galloway argues that GLP-1 medications will have a greater, more transformative impact on human well-being and the U.S. economy than artificial intelligence."  What a world...

AND got home from my walk to find the landlady had dropped off some of her homemade ginger snaps.  She must have "sensed" that I was have a day.

So today - Lansing DC, walk.  "Pack up" dishes to take with my sharing for Sunday.  I don't want to have to bother the birthday girl or her brother so I will bring my bowls and such.

Got a text from son yesterday - "All good with tornado Detroit new on my end :) seems to be making national news.  Nothing else.  I will see if he calls today.  He has been working on projects of late that have been full days so last week he called before he headed to his pizza work.  :)

Have nothing to do with someone who says one thing but then immediately starts doing the opposite. If they are unable to make up their mind about their own activities, it’s unlikely they will be able to help you. They are not to be trusted.

Wishes are granted early this morning, darling Libra, thanks to sweet aspects between the Gemini Moon and nodes of fate. Muster the courage to dream big, gathering the strength to see these visions through. The universe rewards determination once Luna enters Cancer and aligns with Chiron. Double your effectiveness by partnering up with someone you've been wanting to collaborate with. These vibes also bode well for matters of the heart, helping you move romantic connections forward. However, you'd be wise to protect yourself from those who have a habit of making empty promises when Neptune stirs up deceptive vibes this afternoon.

Some new information could come your way that causes you to focus on a new interest, Libra. It'll set your mind traveling to faraway places and times. You may also communicate with some new people who are highly educated, from foreign lands, or both. They might have fascinating stories to tell! Whatever happens, today promises to excite your curiosity and stimulate your intellect.

Listening to All-In as we speak.  Great email from niece #1 yesterday.  Can't get a better pic than the one of her husband walking their son into school on the first day.  What a gift that she found this man in the Southern Part of Heaven!  AND his school is right across the street from their house.  Magic.  Have a magic Saturday.

Challenge of the day...snack item?

I should have stuck to what I know and said I would bring a bread item...snack item?  Chips and salsa and chips and dip are in my mind now.  I will see if anything else strikes me today as I wander ALDI and Shoprite.  Friday is not my usual day to walk to Shoppes, but I needs some extra nudges.  I also am not a fan of "get togethers" and I am thinking Sunday will be a greater than 6 people crowd.  Oh well.  I said yes to going and "a snack item" so here goes.  Good news I can walk back and forth so I don't have to add driving my car to my list of "angst items".  :)

So yesterday - texted TX/NM friend re anniversary - big gathering this weekend at her TX house for kids and families to say good bye to that house.  Walk.  Finished Eggers book (will return that to library on my wander today), started A Long Winter, CA DC (there are lots of CA DCs).  Very good group and now that swimming is over, I will try to make more of these 1st and 3rd Thursday gatherings.  Did watch a GeriPal episode about old people and GLP-1s...I am so not happy with that family of drugs.  "Scott Galloway has frequently written and spoken about GLP-1 receptor agonists having a more profound and immediate impact on human well-being and the economy than artificial intelligence."  or "An "Ozempic baby" is a popular term for an unexpected or unplanned pregnancy that happens while taking GLP-1 receptor agonist weight-loss and diabetes medications like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Mounjaro." Yikes!

Today - nothing on my paper calendar.  I had noted "pay insurance" but I took care of that last week.  So walk and making a plan for "snack item" acquisition...  :)   Keep a good thought that something jumps off the shelf at ALDI or Shoprite.  And that I get my store credit for - in my mind - not edible pancake syrup I bought at ALDI.

With Venus, planet of beauty and pleasure, moving through your sign, you are unlikely to look kindly on anyone who tries to hurry you along. Travel at a speed that feels comfortable to you and ignore those who say you are lagging behind.

The Gemini quarter Moon puts you in a mysterious yet outgoing mood, dearest Libra. Enjoy the company of others while Saturn and Jupiter stir, but keep your secrets under wraps. You'll have a gift for reading the people around you, which could help you identify who to connect with when traversing large crowds. If someone grabs your attention, walk up and introduce yourself. A boost in charisma makes you difficult to resist, and the friends you gain may elevate your status. Speak less and listen more once Luna squares Mercury midafternoon, and you'll be surprised by how much peers are willing to reveal.

You could be in a fanciful mood all day, Libra, so you may not be too focused on this world. This is great for artistic or metaphysical studies, as well as being sensitive to others. Beware of a tendency to daydream when you should pay attention! You might want to break out of the mundane world and follow your dreams, but this isn't the day to do it. It's a good day to plan.

Will see where my mysterious mood takes me today.  Keep a good thought that if nothing else I "encounter" my snack item.  All planning, no daydreaming.  :)  Have a good Friday.

Thursday, September 03, 2026

Well that day filled in nicely :)

Those early start days always have me starting with "now what?" But not to worry it all filled in.  Cleaned apt.  Walked with family friend and her daughter and youngest grandchild.  Got my 10 for $2 corn off the cob and ready for my meals. Got info for the quilt raffle/chicken dinner event in Oct from family friend to share with the swimming ladies who wanted to get a look at the quilts and I am fine with maybe tagging along for the chicken pot pie dinner.  :)  Acquaintance who works at Safety Harbor Spa and Resort is back in town for 3 weeks.  She invited me to her birthday party on Sunday.  I have to bring a snack item...I will stew about that today and put that on my list of things to do on my walk on Saturday.  Also need to return for store credit the pancake syrup I bought at ALDI.  Not eatable.  That will help offset the off day purchase of a snack item.  :)  Good EOLD conversation.  Why do we do what we do when it comes to end-of-life work?  Getting people from point A to point B is something I always say about what has guided my energy...EOL addresses that last "point B".  :)

Zipper broke in the only pair of shorts that really fit me any more...rest are getting a bit baggy.  Oh well.  It is fall and I will take the shorts with me next week to sister #4's to see if she sees a way to fix them.  But it is fall and I will be out of shorts for walking shortly.  :)

Today - TX/NM friend's 43rd wedding anniversary.  Her sister texted me yesterday.  She is off to TX next week to visit.  And now that swim season is over, I will try and pop in on a CA DC that I don't go to often.  Reading my Eggers book.  Nearing the end, glad I stocked up.  Nothing else on my mind or calendar to tackle today.

If a friend or loved one makes a mess of something that is important to you, don’t criticize them. Instead, point out in gentle terms where they went wrong and how they can get it right next time. They won’t make the same mistake twice.

Self-discovery doesn't always have to be a solitary adventure, dearest Libra. As the Gemini Moon aspects Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus, consider how loved ones have shaped your outlook and sense of self. Be mindful of what you have learned from others, and how past and present influences have impacted the trajectory of your life. Admitting that certain relationships have changed you doesn't make you any less fierce or independent, but shows that you are wise enough to keep an open mind. Continue with these sentiments close to your heart, and explore with someone you love.

Your mood may be a bit detached and scattered today, Libra. This attitude could get you into trouble if you aren't careful. Make sure you keep at least one foot on the ground. It's important to stay strongly connected with reality or you could find yourself up a creek without a paddle. Feel free to get more deeply involved in a project that you might otherwise leave to others.

A quieted day with a quick stop in CA may be the trajectory for the day.  Hope it is a dry sneaker walk which it feels like it will be once this morning rain stops.  Have a good Thursday.

Wednesday, September 02, 2026

Early start today... :)

I do need to look back and see if there is a pattern - day of week, day leading up to activities - to my early mornings.  But when I wake up, I wake up.  No "let me try to get back to sleep".  Oh well.  On with the day and I have a lot of it to work with.  :)

Also woke up to a full inbox so I addressed some with my "schedule send" approach so people do not know when I am really writing it.  Others I will revisit later when I decide what I want to do with the information shared.

So yesterday - ran dishwasher, walked, stopped by library at tail end of walk to pick up - A Long Winter/Toibin, Careless People/Wynn-Williams, and Crying in H Mart/Zauner.  Stopped by the house of one of the swimming ladies.  Had not seen her since pool closed and her "kids" (in their 50's) and their spouses are coming up this weekend so I wanted to check in to see if she needed anything done before they got there.  No work, but she did ask if I would put on my September list of things to do - set her up with the Shoprite online account so she could do the coupons.  She got listening to me and the other swimming lady talking about it and wants in.  :)  The two of them do not need them, but it is something.  And she wants to redo her medical directives and she wanted me to be a sounding board as she did that.  I sent her mine and some other resources yesterday post our visit and we will circle back later in the month.  She is 86...husband died in 2011 and kids live in different states. But she seems to have a good relationship with her doctor. Did come home with a bag of tomatoes picked on Monday at one of her friend's homes!  6 p.m. found me "at" the MEA discussion about the Golden Girls housing option they now have outside Santa Fe NM presented by the MEA leader and 3 women who tried it out for a month.  Mr. Conley is promoting his programs and his housing options.  He is a good salesperson to say the least.  Aging - with privilege - can be a very attractive proposition.  :)

Today - will see if family friend wants to walk this a.m.  She just got back from Chicago yesterday.  We will see.  So clean apt, walk, EOLD - It's Wise to Know Your Whys with Kathi Waters.  Nothing else on my paper calendar.  Good back and forth with Michigan Death Care Collaborative.  MI and CA seem to be my go-tos for lots of my thoughts.

Cosmic activity in the most sensitive area of your chart inclines you to worry about issues that are not worth the effort. You may need to remind yourself today that some things can look darker and more menacing than they actually are.

Take an honest look at who your real friends are, dear Libra. The Taurus Moon aspects Jupiter, Mars, and Mercury this morning, highlighting how the people around you impact your psyche. Be mindful of who is overly demanding, negative, or difficult to level with. While it may not be necessary to cut ties, a desire for genuine intimacy will inspire you to keep a tighter circle. You're in a transitional period as Virgo season brings forth endings. Use this energy to determine who you wish to become and who you want by your side once the dust has settled.

A trip by air may be in your future, Libra. You may be planning to tour distant states or foreign lands when that’s possible. You could be going with friends or a group you're associated with. Unusual new interests could capture your attention, enticing you to further study. You might enroll in an online workshop. You're looking toward expanding your horizons. Take care not to spread yourself too thin.

Will try and keep my mind out of the menacing arena.  Don't think I could get a tighter circle than I currently have.  No travel plans, no worry about spreading myself too thin.  "Tight" and "thin" are where I live as we speak.  :)  Have a good Wednesday.

Tuesday, September 01, 2026

Lots of shiny objects in my inbox this a.m. :)

Thought I better get my journaling done first.  :)  Sept 1 - completely full dream night with lots of people coming to mind overnight and full inbox this a.m.  Sept is off with a kick.

In my inbox, an application to talk to the woman behind "The In-Between Years" podcast.  Will see if she finds my story interesting.  NC friends in a CCRC sent out their blog.  I will be commenting after I finish this.  Former school #1 co worker wrote back after I sent him a "happy back to school" - he put his planned retirement off until this time next year.  Note back from ED of FEN.  I shared with her yesterday after her TGDS blog post - Was smiling when I got to the end and had to say to myself (my favorite person to converse with 😎) - "Who the leader is not everything, but it certainly can be a HUGE thing." Thank you for your year at the helm!  🎉  Onward and upward.

So yesterday - did load of wash, headed out at 10-ish for walk (my new launch time now that swimming is over), dropped The Correspondent off at library, Shoprite for a $21.38 spent/$23.00 "saved"/17 items day (two more items I will not have to buy for awhile because of sales),  ALDI $19.85/5 items day.  Got the "compare to TIDE PODS"...hope I do not regret it, 47 tabs so I hope I like it.  I am stuck with them for almost a year with my one load a week routine.  And I told myself I would not buy nectarines again...but I could not resist with the sale.  :)  I ran into my landlady at Shoprite and she said I am quite a site with my little notebook (the one sister #6 brought home for me from the Berkshire-Hathaway stockholders annual meeting) prompting me for the sales I was there to find. She did try to talk me into the "natural" laundry sheets for washing clothes...not this year.  But they have a very nice looking web site if I ever change my mind.  Much better pricing than at Shoprite.

Today - run dishwasher, walk, stop by library to stock up bedside table (getting hooked on Eggers' book).  6 p.m. - Live Event - Golden Girls Interview with Chip - Chip Conley talks to the 3 "Golden Girls" - Whether it's a Golden Girls–style shared rental home (a new category that is often called "Boommate Homes" and what MEA calls "SageHouses" and "ChrysalisHouses")  - A SageHouse has been created for long-term stability of a collection of women (and, sometimes, men) who want to live together for an extended period of time. Many women have been talking with their college friends about this for decades and MEA’s active alumni community, regional chapters, and Golden Girls workshops create a magnet for women to find their future housemates.  Nothing else on my paper calendar.

Mercury in the most sensitive area of your chart will make you a bit touchy today, and with Mars in the picture as well you could say things you later wish you had not. Think before you speak and, if possible, say only nice things.

Prioritize healing as the Taurus Moon aspects Chiron and Pluto, darling Libra, even if doing so means severing ties. Relationships that have grown increasingly toxic are unlikely to improve without some distance. Romantic connections may also land on the chopping block while Mars and Saturn square off. Remember that love is supposed to be elevating, and shouldn't get in the way of your hopes and dreams. If you're hoping to salvage a dynamic that's become complicated, try setting new boundaries to see if the situation changes. Reflect on where you need to evolve once the Sun and Luna align this evening.

Money is probably on your mind now, Libra. A desire for increased financial security could force you to look for work or investments that would pay off big. Opportunities for one or both of these are likely to come through friends, perhaps someone with whom you've worked before. You're likely to accomplish what you want for now, but it's uncertain whether you'll continue on this path in the future.

Healing has been a big part of this segment of my life.  Rabbit, rabbit, rabbit.  Evolution. Keep a good thought for all that this first day of September has on the horizon.  :)  Have a good Tuesday.

No distractions this a.m.

In the no distractions mode, I picked one of my "calm" pictures.  I shut down early yesterday, but no emails to welcome me this a.m. except the ALDI Wednesday sale items preview.  :)  I am focused on this week's Shoprite (started yesterday) and last week's ALDI (started last Wednesday) in setting my list.  I did see I have 6 Tide pods left...will look at the pricing for that today at Shoprite and the "Compare to Tide" at ALDI.  :)  But no urgency.  6 = 6 weeks at my one load of clothes a week pace.

Talked to son on Saturday and nice back and forth with email yesterday.  He has a lots of things going on - working on doing some work at a buddy's warehouse building getting it cleaned up, not sure for what; helping out at friends pizza place on weekends.  They sell out on the weekends so it is pretty controllable as to time commitment.  He is doing some "school work" with Per Scholas that will ramp up after Thanksgiving. Told him I need a bumper sticker to add to my Flagler bumper sticker.  One of his bosses from back in the day in NYC reached out to him.  He is doing a new release on a drink and wanted son's input on their launch.  In a time when many worry about "what if", son is good at "let's try" or "why not". Always good for a mother to hear no matter at what age offspring are.

My yesterday - finished The Correspondent.  Couldn't stop until I was done yesterday morning so after writing, word work, eating meal #1 - curled up with it and finished it.  10 a.m. take off for my walk to Unionville.  NOW I know how I filled time pre swim season - reading more.  Sister #1 sibling call when I was on the trail.  She and her gentleman caller moving from NYS to PA after a week with sister #3.  Her wife returned from Cape to take back over the recuperation from sister #3's fall and subsequent surgery.  Sister #1 and gentleman caller will do some repacking and head to Cape Cod on Sept 8 for their month in North Truro.  My HUGE plan for travel is Sept 10 to sister #4's house, then with her to niece #4's white coat ceremony at YNH hospital on Friday, then back to sister #4's to hang at her house until she heads to Cape to meet up with sister #1.  My second - and last for the season - swim in her pool.  She will have her pool boy close it down on Oct 1.

Post walk yesterday - great Death Sangha.  The 3 person breakout room I found myself in was incredible.  Wonderful people with conversation that made me laugh...and cry.  So happy that this Sangha lasts through December on selected Sundays and Tuesdays.

Today - load of clothes washing, walk, Shoprite/ALDI.  $2 for 10 ears of corn has me stopping by Shoprite and to do my red grapes and Tide pods price comparisons.  Nothing on my paper calendar.  Will drop off book at the library on front end of my walk.  Might stop before I head to grocery shopping and do some restocking of books for my bedside table.  Moved on to Heroes of the Frontier/Dave Eggers.  Along with Nínive Calegari, Eggers is the co-founder of 826 National, a network of youth writing and tutoring centers around the United States. The whole thing started with 826 Valencia, their original center in the Mission District of San Francisco. Since then, over seventy other organizations, from Louisville to Toowoomba, Australia, operate with inspiration from the 826 Valencia model. I was trying to figure out why his name was familiar and I realized I had seen a podcast or TV spot about his 826 National project and the original SF location.  AND if I am remembering correctly, he has stuck to a flip phone approach to life...wonder if that is still true or my memory is correct.  :)

Also, I know I should not care, but I did like watching the last few minutes of the PGA event with Scottie winning.  AND he just turned 30 in June...

Also, just checked TGDS blog.  Like the ED's piece that runs today.

I continue to be a poster girl for hay fever - runny eyes, itchy nose...oh well.  Why I always looked "so cute" the first week of school back in the day.  New England brings out the best of me in the fall.  :)

You have been held back in a number of areas in recent weeks, but the next few days will see you making progress at such a rate that you will make up for the ground you have lost, even more so if you join forces with like-minded colleagues.

You’re susceptible to charmers and smooth talkers, dear Libra, as the Moon moves through Aries and your solar seventh house. A desire for romance, passion, and connection puts you in flirtatious spirits, but don’t invest too heavily in people you’ve just met. A harsh opposition between Luna and Venus could lead you toward inharmonious matches that seem promising on the surface. If you’re hoping to find a genuine love match, you’ll need to focus on elevating yourself first. If anyone takes up too much of the spotlight and doesn’t give you a chance to shine, run in the opposite direction. Work on cultivating friendships and building your reputation when Jupiter and Saturn align later today.

People may see you as the personification of drama, especially this morning, Libra. This is a good time to express your emotions and get things out of your system. Be sure to release whatever pent-up emotion you have inside. By afternoon, it might be a good idea to settle down and lay low. Turn your energy inward, come to your center, and plan what needs to get done.

No worry for me to be swept away.  I don't think I will meet any charmers at Shoprite or ALDI.  :)  Have a good Monday - last day of August 2026...time flies.

Football distracted me this a.m. :)

Checked UNC and Post...odd combo but for good reasons.  Good news/bad news on results.  :)

Yesterday - I am moving through The Correspondent.  Very interested to see how it ends.  Unique format, but I got hooked.  Spoke to son - he has lots of plates spinning as we speak.  Walked to Shoppes - ran into a family friend from back in the day.  His father was our town's doctor from 50's-90's.  Fun talking to him as we caused quite a traffic jam in the Shoppes' parking lot.  :)  Dropped off The Four Winds at library book drop.  I will have to restock on Monday.  Paid my car/apt insurance.  Lazy again - did not change coverage...  Did not feel poor enough and am just so lazy about that stuff.  Vendors become very sticky for me.  Did do my end of August financial report.  I am fortunate that my complacency had not caused me real harm.  Has caused real unrealized gains if I had been more proactive, but it is what it is as we speak.  When lost years become lost decades...my "stuck-ness" saddens me at times, but obviously not enough times.  Oh well.

Landlady delivered on corn chowder so I had half of that with the second stuffed pepper from yesterday.  Nice change of pace for my "menus".  Another "stuck-ness" category.

Worked through grocery list this a.m. as I checked Shoprite deals and "clipping" all the online coupons for Shoprite and Stop & Shop - might be a combo platter, Shoprite and ALDI this week based on sales.  Staying ahead of things for Stop & Shop as sister #1 will be using my number for their Cape month starting next week.

Today - walk to Unionville, 1 p.m. Death Sangha.

Venus in your sign makes you eager to get along with people, but don’t do things for others that they should be doing for themselves. There is no reason why you should carry their load as well as your own, and you must let them know that.

A dreamlike energy infuses your interactions with sweetness, dear Libra. Evolve relationships that matter most and indulge your explorative side while the Aries Moon aspects Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus. Keep an open mind when it comes to developing platonic or romantic connections. Shedding your own ego will allow you to find common ground in unexpected places. You'll feel enthusiastic where love is concerned once Mars activates this evening, but don't rush through the honeymoon period. The universe gently reminds you that boundaries and longevity work as a team within matters of the heart as Luna aligns with Jupiter and Saturn.

It isn't exactly all lightness and harmony at home today, Libra. There's tension in the air and it manifests in silly family arguments. Try to arrange separate activities for siblings, and encourage your partner to eat out with friends, if possible. This is a day to give everyone his or her space. Tomorrow everyone will be happy to eat together again.

I am all about giving people space.  :)  Another "stuck-ness" category.  Solitude to the point of distraction.  Oh well.  Will see if I see an opp to be unstuck about something today.  Have a good Sunday.

Last Saturday in Aug 2026...time flies.

Finished The Four Winds this a.m.  Will drop off at library on front end of my walk today.  :)  Will move to The Correspondent today.  Listening to All-In as we speak.

Yesterday - writing, reading, walking.  Did talk to TX/NM friend.  They are deep in to real estate buy and sells.  They are so outside of where I operate.  Soon to be owner of 3 homes, married for 40+ years, money at a level where no worries.  What a world.  Landlady gifted me with stuffed peppers, corn chowder due today.  :)  Reached out to sister #1 who is using my number to get discounts at Shoprite as she is at sister #3's near a Shoprite.  I asked her to stay away from the 10 for $2 ears of corn and the red grapes sale/coupon.  "Limit 1" offers and I will be taking advantage of those.  Rest of my shopping will be at ALDI on Monday.  Sister #6 called.  Checking in.  She is back to school.  One more year is her thought as of now.

Listened to another great talk by Thaddeus Pope.  What a gift.

Today - nothing on my paper calendar.  I will do my monthly report.  Won't be exact "month end" but directionally correct.  Walk - drop book at library, wander the Shoppes.

You may think you have to watch what you say and do because important people have their eye on you, and to an extent that is true, but don’t let it stop you completely. If fear holds you back, the biggest loser will be you.

If you're feeling fried, it might be time for a digital cleanse, dearest Libra. The Pisces Moon and Venus form an unbalanced aspect early this morning, highlighting how the modern world can be desensitizing. Pulling back from screens can help you rediscover vibrancy in your surroundings and reignite the senses. Focus on wellness practices, catching up on your to-do lists, and releasing stress to make the most of these vibes. Health goals will feel like more of a priority, but don't pressure yourself to embark upon dramatic lifestyle changes on a whim. You'll perk up and desire connection once Luna enters Aries tonight.

You may be focused on a certain trajectory, Libra, but today you could run into complications based on overlooked issues. Be aware of the people around you and how your actions affect them. You don't necessarily need to change your direction, but you might need to make a couple modifications along the way in order to keep everyone happy.

Will see where my sharing/cleansing/modifications land.  Keep a good thought.  :)  Have a good Saturday.

SOOO distracted by shiny objects this a.m. :)

I shut it down early yesterday.  Post massage sometimes I just like to let it all rest and enjoy where the massage lady can leave my body and mind after an hour or her "work".  Talk about having a gift.  So I woke up to an email in box with action items and a voicemail from TX/NM friend.  I moved first on the email from the FEN ED who wanted review by our blog team for her blog post for this upcoming week.  Good article but you know I had a comment or two but only 2 proof-reading items.  :)  Will get back to rest after this.

Yesterday - Writing, reading, walking, picked up The Correspondent on my walk past library, dropped off Box on way to massage, massage.  Today nothing on my paper calendar.  OOPS!  Just distracted myself again writing to my niece about first day of school for her 6 yr old son.  Back to yesterday.  Post massage - kept myself in quiet and called it a day even earlier than I normally do.  :)

Today - Writing, reading, walking.  TX/NM friend said she would try again to call.  I will hope that she does.  Her life is beyond busy so I hate adding to her juggle but I am who I am and my "open for business" hours do not jive with most.  :)

With the Sun and Mercury moving through the most secretive area of your chart you would prefer to keep a low profile, but that won’t be possible today. If you have a part to play in what’s going on it’s your duty to play it well.

Your imagination will be highly active as the Virgo Sun and Mercury square Uranus. Embrace creativity as it arises, but don't lose track of your to-do list. Though you'll be tempted to slip into weekend mode early, unfinished business will catch up with you at inconvenient times. A sweet connection between the Pisces Moon and Mars can increase your visibility around the office, and it's important to maintain an image of professionalism and efficiency. If you need help staying on task, buddy with your favorite colleagues to showcase leadership skills while making the day go by faster.

You're feeling pretty strong now, Libra. You're probably in fairly good health and your mind is sharp. You've outgrown some areas of your life that no longer seem what they once were. One of these could be your work. You could be considering leaving a job you took primarily for the money and going into a profession you really love. Do it if it works for you.

VERY interesting cosmic guidance for today.  I will address my "calls to action" with vim and vigor!  As to any "money play", I have never been a good player...oh well, it's me and my SS dollars.  I make it work.  Have a great Friday!

Post swim season is settling in - and I have no complaints. Shocking! :)

I keep pausing at this picture as I scroll to see what I want to use in the a.m.  - "Be patient with yourself. Shouting at a flower won't make it bloom."  And this is the quote that spoke to me this a.m.  I need to be quiet and patient with myself this a.m.

Yesterday - cleaned apt, walked with family friend,  EOLD - Ketamine and End-of-Life Anxiety with Catherine Durkin Robinson.  GA DC where a member shared she is off to Switzerland mid Sept.  Gave us all pause in an "in awe and in celebration" type of way.  As to the Ketamine discussion - for me, it is a "medicine" not a "plant medicine", so doesn't feel right to one who has never had a prescription drug in her adult life but Catherine did a great job with her presentation. Did share Death Sangha with the ZEN DC facilitator.  She said she might try and drop in.

Got my driver's license renewal.  I will take another 2 year renewal.

My annual "hay fever" is upon me.  Always made the first days of school challenging as I sneezed and sniffled through opening days.  :)  I always blamed that for my never making the socially attractive A Team in school...easier to blame hay fever than my persnickety-ness, just general isolationism.  :)  Guess two more quotes might fit into this part of my thinking this a.m. - "Always remember you matter, you're important and you are loved, and you bring to this world things no one else can." "One day you’ll look back and realize how hard it was, and just how well you did."  :)  Good day for massage day!

Today - woke up to an email from TX/NM friend.  She has just arrived back in TX.  Her nuclear family will be gathering in TX for the kids to say good bye to the TX house.  Son announced that he and wife are pregnant again.  Daughter...not yet.  Friend is closing on new NM house on Sept 8.  LOTS going on in her family's lives.  Ahead for me in my non-eventful life, walk, stop by library and drop off CJ Box and pick up The Correspondent which is being held for me.  Perfect timing even though I did start reading The Four Winds last night.  Massage at 1 p.m.  Nothing else on my paper calendar until Death Sangha on Sunday.

It is of the utmost importance that you read the small print carefully today, even if you think you know what you are signing up to. A temporary blind spot in your ability to notice errors could lead to a major loss further down the line.

The Virgo Moon and Mercury join forces to illuminate new pathways of your psyche, dearest Libra. Touch base with your deepest thoughts, feelings, and wishes to uncover what the soul genuinely desires. Reroute your internal dialogue to support your hopes and yourself better. You'll feel somewhat restless and in need of a project under tonight's Pisces Lunar Eclipse, which squares revolutionary Uranus. These vibes are perfect for experimenting with hobbies or artistic outlets. Wherever the evening takes you, allow your imagination plenty of freedom to explore and discover. If you choose to set intentions or wish upon a star, offer to break a bad habit in return for the universe's aid.

Any work today could require a higher level of concentration than you can muster, Libra. You might lapse into daydreams, think about personal matters, and feel guilty because you aren't doing what you're supposed to be doing. On days like this it's best to focus on routine tasks you can do automatically. That way, your mind can wander. That's the only way you'll make it through today.

No problem with me and letting my mind wander...  :)  Have a good Thursday.

Things are feeling right on many levels, in my silly way

Got the pic from Monday's stop at the ice cream store after lunch from sister #4.  Came out pretty good since picture taker (sister) did not have her glasses on.  :) Back and forth late (for me) in the day yesterday between sisters #4,6 and niece #4 after the DP news hit the wire.  Niece is a huge DP fan.  I did mention that you die as you live.  DP went from doing appearances at Dollywood to...dead.  She was very energetic energizer bunny-esque.

Other than that for Tuesday - ran dishwasher, almost half way through CJ Box book, walk, CA DC, and luckily all the back and forth kept me up late enough to go to EOLPC Death Sangha at 8 p.m.  I look forward to staying with these events through December. https://go.eolpc.org/death-sangha  As I shared with someone this a.m. -  I have never had a psychedelic experience or do I have "a practice", but I am glad the group is welcoming nonetheless.  Last night was led by Rev. Norma Burton.  Words that sit with me this a.m. are:  Experiencing death before death.  Ego Death.  Never ceases to amaze me as to where I am drawn.

Today - clean apt, walk with family friend, EOLD - Ketamine and End-of-Life Anxiety with Catherine Durkin Robinson.  GA DC tonight.  Massage Thursday can not come soon enough.  :-)

You seem to believe that if you ignore a bad situation, it will go away of its own volition, but that isn’t going to happen. Face up to what is worrying you and then do something about it, something that consists of more than just words.

There's enough love to go around while the Aquarius Moon aspects Jupiter and Saturn. However, you may need to take space from people who are too demanding, especially if other relationships have suffered as a result. Funnel energy toward companions who offer security and harmony. Opportunities to expand your social reach could lead to professional rewards, so be mindful to put yourself out there when in the company of impressive peers. You'll shine brightly with little effort once Venus activates in your sign midafternoon. Let others know you see them during your moment in the Sun, gaining their adoration and loyalty.

Friendship could turn into romance if you aren't careful, Libra. A platonic relationship could turn passionate, and no one would be more surprised than you. Think carefully about where you'd like this to go. While it can't go back to the way it was, you can stop it from progressing further if you're uncomfortable with the new dynamic. You can only make this decision once.

We will see where to and to whom I am drawn...My daily exercise.  :)  Have a good Wednesday.

Well that day filled in :)

Again another attempt to get to Shake Shack was dashed.  Sister #4 came up from RI to see her high school friend and I got the call asking if I wanted to join them for lunch and they mentioned Beau's Burger Shack, but it was Monday and closed...I mentioned Shake Shack...LaSalle Market down the block won.  Oh well.  One of these days I am just going to have to take myself.  :)  But it was a good lunch and then we went to Canton Creamery for ice cream.

To fill rest of day - Wash clothes.  I think my shirt I wore to sister #1's get together was saved! Shoprite 75th anniversary pushed ALDI out of schedule.  It was a $62.17 spend/$48.33 "saved" day, 27 items. Dropped finished book at library on the way to Shoprite.  Walked.  Stopped at library to restock on the tail end of my walk. The crossroads: MYSTERY BOX , Heroes of the frontier : FICTION EGGERS and The four winds: FICTION HANNAH.  Got home and started reading The Crossroads. Fun phone call from friend from CA, facilitator of the Albany CA DC and who was one of our hosts when son and I went to CA in 2024. Sister called and off I went to meet them on Main St.  7:30 p.m. ZEN DC.  Good day all around.

Today - wash dishes, walk, CA DC at 1 p.m. and Sangha at 8 p.m.  Wednesday - EOLD: Ketamine and
End-of-Life Anxiety, with Catherine Durkin Robinson, GA DC at 7 p.m.: Dena  Davis, JD, Ph.D. is our guest speaker.  "A Ulysses pact or Ulysses contract is a freely made decision that is designed and intended to bind oneself in the future. The term is used in medicine" as it pertains to dementia advance directives.  Thursday - MASSAGE Thursday!

A slight delay early in the day could work in your favor, because by the time you reach your destination, those who were ahead of you will have done most of the heavy lifting. Make sure you return the favor if you ever get the chance.

Pay more attention to the inner workings of your mind, dearest Libra. As Mercury debuts in Virgo and your solar twelfth house, you're asked to release judgment and find peace. A soft aspect with Chiron acts as a reminder that it's never too late to break unhealthy cycles. If you have a habit of finding flaws within yourself and others, combat this behavior by focusing on positivity and strengths instead. Luckily, the Aquarius Moon works overtime to instill your heart with joy, forming supportive connections with Pluto, Neptune, and Uranus. Embrace your wild side with people who make you laugh to feel light and full of life.

This is a wonderful day for you, Libra. You'll find that you're holding all the cards you need to be successful. Today luck and prosperity meet with discipline to create a perfect situation for wealth. Your preparation is finally paying off. You'll find that the more in tune you can be with yourself, the better integrated you'll be with the people around you.

Hmmm...wonderful day, search out people who make me laugh and be full of life...here I go.  Have a good Tuesday.

Almost forgot my sangha. :)

Needed some calm this a.m.  Can't push re-start on the Hamilton book.  Will get to library today to restock.  So headed to my machine. 4:09 a.m.  Yesterday was interesting to say the least.  Rained on me for a bit on the walk to Unionville, but clear by the time I got home.  I had almost forgotten about the Death Sangha at 1 p.m. but the irony was the first wave did not include yesterday BUT people showed up and all but 3 "hung up" so I got to spend an hour with a woman from UTAH and one from NYS.  What a gift they both were.  They are both deep into the mission of:  We'll begin our shared exploration through contemplative practice, reflection, conversation, and small-group dialogue.  I have no practice per se but I will hope it will rub off.  And they are both in the psychedelics at end of life as part of their doula work.  I was in heaven just listening to them.  Not sure where it might lead but even if yesterday was it, "it" was good for me.  This "rotation":  Sunday, August 16 | 10:00–11:00 am PT | David & Dan Tuesday, August 25 | 5:00–6:00 pm PT | Norma Sunday, August 30 | 10:00–11:00 am PT | Christine Tuesday, September 8 | 5:00–6:00 pm PT | Rohini.  I had missed Aug 16 because of the last day of town pool conflict.  So after that informal get together with the 3 of us, moved on to 4:30 p.m. Hemlock Society of San Diego and the VSED discussion.  - 200 people on that ZOOM.  Then 7 p.m. Albany CA DC.  The only thing that would have made the day better would have been all the gatherings to have been in person, within walking distance of my apt.  :)

Today - wash clothes, grocery shopping - Shoprite looks to be winning as to sales on items needed, library to drop off/pick up, walk, ZEN DC tonight.  Will wait and see how I fit into sister #4's day as she drops a friend at BDL, stops to see her high school classmate and ...we will see.  She might tap me for a walk.  But I also told her about Shake Shack and that family friend said the chocolate milkshakes were too chocolate-y...I don't think sister #4 has ever found ANY food item TOO chocolate-y.  We will see if she bites on getting one for the road.

Sister #1 sibling call included her sharing with me that while she is at sister #3's she will be shopping at Shoprite so I can now see what coupons she is using.  I told her they are all "loaded" so shop away.  I will start loading up the Stop & Shop coupons for her month on the Cape.  Glad to be of service. :)

If you want to impress someone in a position of authority, you must call on the power of Venus in your sign to charm your way into their good books. A more aggressive approach not only won’t work but could be counter-productive.

Remember your roots and draw strength from them, darling Libra. The Capricorn Moon brings a resilient yet nostalgic energy your way, helping you pull from past experiences to illuminate the path forward. A desire to support and nurture loved ones acts as a secondary byproduct of this luminary placement. Do what you can to reinforce family and close friends, and they will readily return the favor. You may also want to reassess your living situation, especially if you have plans to relocate. Educate yourself on what it will take to make your domestic dreams a reality, even if these goals seem far away for now.

Use the day's boisterous energy to take charge and make things happen, Libra. You'll find that actions you take today resonate in the coming days. Don't worry about the consequences. Simply go for the gusto. Strong forces are at work encouraging you to seek freedom in your creative endeavors and giving you more room to explore your inner sanctuary that you hold so dearly.

Charm, nostalgic energy, go for the gusto...I will try to center myself and then move forward.  Keep a good thought for my progress.  :)  August is a combo platter of "flying by" and "when will it be Sept 1?".  The calendar is giving me plenty of time to contemplate my seasonal adjustments.  Have a good Monday.

No lobster, but not a problem :)

Would have been tasty, but timing of lobster dinner delivery and evening DC made it not work.  Oh well.  I had a hotdog and potato salad leftover from last Saturday's get together with sister #1's group.  :/  Adequate substitute.  One more meal and leftovers are over.  Today is working on possible Shoprite only grocery run tomorrow.  We will see.

I am realizing what I did with time spent going to/from pool over last couple of month.  Finished another book this a.m.  Lisa Gardner - You'll Be Sorry.  A two day read now I am bookless except for Hamilton...do have a pick up ready at library for tomorrow - C J Box - The Crossroads.  Put holds on The Correspondent and Whistler but I am way down the list on those so I will need to look around a bit on Monday.

So yesterday All-In, read, chatted with landlord for a bit running into him when we were both heading out, walk to Shoppes, stuck my head into Shake Shack, home, LA DC.  Will hope to go to Shake Shack on Monday even if only for a milkshake when sister #4 is in town.  But don't know what her plan with her high school friend will be.  She alerted us both that she would be in town and I am thinking sister #4 will be anxious to spend some time with her friend who just wrapped up a 40+ year career living and working in Bermuda.  We will see how the day rolls out.  I have a load of wash to run, groceries, ZEN DC in evening.

Today - walk to Unionville (might be an umbrella walk), grocery list, send text to my PD boss on the one year anniversary of his mother's death, Hemlock Society of San Diego webinar on VSED at 4:30 p.m., Albany CA DC at 7 p.m.  Will see if sister #1 does sibling calls from sister #3's house.  She is holding down the fort while sister #3's wife if gone with grandkids to beach for the week and sister's mobility is still limited by post broken leg surgery.

Too often in the past you have made things difficult for yourself by aiming for perfection when you don’t need to. However, with Venus in your sign you can relax and not worry so much about end results. Focus instead on having fun.

Big personalities clash this morning, dearest Libra, as the Capricorn Moon and Mars face off. Choose your battles wisely and try not to let personal issues interfere with your public image. Conflict with loved ones will be easier to resolve in private while the Virgo Sun and Chiron align. Show a willingness to evolve and learn from disagreements to squash drama and strengthen connections. Plan for a relaxing evening at home when Luna squares Saturn, encouraging your housemates to do the same. Brace for moody interactions once Venus grows restless tonight, and do what you can to put yourself and others at ease.

A powerful desire for a current or potential romantic partner might come over you today, Libra. This person could live far away or be on a trip, so you might have to be satisfied with a phone call or email instead of the meeting you'd prefer. Don't get frustrated. Distract yourself with an exciting novel or movie and look forward to when you can get together.

No aspiration for reconnection and "fun" is not a oft used word in my vocabulary or in life, but I will aspire to evolve and learn.  One out of 3 isn't a bad day.  :)  Have a good Sunday.

Cancel the lobster? :)

Landlord and landlady returned home last night.  Hope they found my bed work acceptable post sister #1's stay last weekend.  :)

Yesterday was very interesting on many levels.  Mona's Eyes...hit me between the eyes on page 415...I was loving everything about the book then I got to page 415 and whammo.  Death with Dignity/VAD, honoring a loved one's wishes and unresolved grief. Bowled me over in a completely and totally wonderful way.  Sent that to the person who referred me to the book - a high school classmate - and a DC and FEN person. Finished the book and returned it to the library on my walk yesterday.

Went to the ZOOM episode of the MEA week's exercise.  Big push for the pay for play session by them online in Sept.  $1000-ish money...glad I got to participate in the free, "draw them in" activity.  I don't begrudge them the push, but I can't imagine pay for play in my life.  Think I will pay my car and apt insurance due in Sept.  :)  So Zoom, finished Mona, MEA session at 11 a.m., walk, text from family friend letting me know that they would be doing lobster drop off today not yesterday...I have LA DC 6:30-8 p.m. so I am thinking that I might miss out for drop off since I can't be on my stoop to receive when they are coming into town during that time.  Oh well.

Today - listening to All-In as we speak, walk, might do a recon at Shoprite since the 75th anniversary sale might have this week be a Shoprite vs ALDI week.  I will do more thinking on that.  Will see if lobster is possible since friends are eating earlier (insert praying hands emoji) :)  LA DC.

Sister #4 is headed my way to do an airport drop off on Monday.  She has a high school friend to visit but I will hope I see her for a snack or a walk.  We will see.

If you don’t stand up for yourself today and over the weekend your enemies will walk all over you. You cannot afford to allow even a single person to say bad things about you, because if they get away with it others will try it on too.

You could awaken to thoughtful messages, darling Libra, thanks to a sweet aspect between the Sagittarius Moon and Mercury. Spend your morning catching up with friends, filling the spirit as you’re reminded of all the wonderful people that make your world vibrant. Opt for a quiet afternoon at home once Luna drifts into Capricorn and aspects Chiron. These vibes are perfect for releasing stress and connecting with loved ones in a cozy environment. You may experience a tinge of sorrow when the Leo Sun unites with the South Node, widening gaps between you and companions you’ve drifted from. Enjoy those you feel close to now, trusting that true friends will always find a way back to you. You’ll need more time to rest and reflect throughout the coming weeks after Virgo season kicks off this evening. Embrace softness, but try not to zone out while Neptune brings warm and fuzzy energy your way tonight.

Don't be surprised if your inbox fills with email or your phone rings off the hook, Libra. Friends, relatives, and colleagues could have great news and useful information. One or more of these messages could inspire you to send a few of your own or even pay some visits. Most of what you learn should be positive and exciting, although some things may be confusing.

Had this in my inbox this a.m.  I completed, will hope that many do the same - Participate in Research on End of Life Attitudes: Join Columbia University’s Bioethics Study.  Interesting cosmic guidance as people coming and going in my life.  It is an interesting time for me.  Fingers crossed for lobster. Short range, long range - what will be will be.  :)  Have a good Saturday.
